I read it also. It is an iniative of Ronaldo and Zidane, each of them will choose the players of his team and there will be a match in Basel on monday. All the money of the tikets will be devolved to help poor peaple.
Many serie A players like Baggio, Totti, Maldini, Vieri, ecc... are invited in the "Ronaldo team" while a huge rapresentative of Juve players is in the "Zidane ones". Let's see how many will make it to join the match.
Those kind of matchs never come out to be very entrateining anycase it is a very nice thing from Ronnie and ZZ.

dont know how true all the info is.... i'm surprised not to see any ManU or Arsenal players. (maybe because of the EPL schedule), but i'm even more surprized not to see Montero on that list, who happens to be Zidane's good friend.

BTW, how are they gonna play all those players in 90 minutes!!!? :howler:

there are enough players to play 4 teams!
BTW, Do you think they're gonna divide the teams into:
A) ZZ friends vs. Ronaldo friends
B) Nike sponsored players vs. Adidas sponsored. (while non-nike non-adidas players are scaterred around both teams)

?

Has anyone ever seen the "Michael Schumacher and Friends v All Star XI" charity matches? Schumi could have made it as a decent striker if he wasn't so bloody good at driving F1 cars.

agreed ! he's really good ! he plays for a club in Switzerland i believe.

but yeah, if he wasn't a F1 driver, he could definitely have made it as a world class striker.

He trained with Juventus a while ago and some of hte players were impressed by his fitness levels and skill.

But hey ! he makes 80 mil a year as a racer :D and wouldn't have made half of that as a footballer :p
