Also it was the end of an era, our veterans were on their last legs. In hindsight, hiring Pirlo was an awful move, just like his hiring his fellow graduate.

Young inexperienced managers dont suit us but old managers don't like a young squad.
I reckon Beppe would have replaced those Veterans. The two big mistakes was getting rid of Beppe and hiring Pirlo.

Love how Real kept extending their veterans just to keep some of that leadership in the team. I mean look how long theyve kept Modric and Carvajal, then some fringe players as well like Vasquez and Vallejo.

Replacing them is not the same though, and doesn't always work, especially if the core leave.

Marotta at inter kept de vrij, bastoni, Martinez and Di Marco, a year or two later barella joined their player leadership team. He was fortunate because they were still fairly young, while all our leaders were reaching 33 and beyond. Honestly, for him, he left at a good time and staying here wouldn't been as easy as it looked.

Exactly. We had to change entire roster because Allegro KO'd this team with his garbage philosophy. So many players regressed/left the club. We still have his core group of clowns playing and sucking as usual like Suckatelli, Gatti, Vlahovic etc

Things won't change instantly and Mossad is probably the not the right man to revive this team but the process of going from an Allegro team to a team that can actually play football is going to be hard and slow.

I am desperate for Conte-esque paisan atm. Maybe just get Conte himself.

I don’t get it how can he have his imprints on new players that didn’t even play under him though. Why does Koop not have Gasperini’s?

Anyway, joking aside your argument sounds lazy. I was called out last season for saying that Allegri got the absolute most out of an abysmal roster, and that, unless we change everything from top to bottom (incl. management) we won’t see much improvement. Meanwhile, we bought a top 3 midfielder in Italy, one of the best in the EPL last season, stacked the team with wingers, and all we did was regress.

Praising Conte for Allegri’s 1.0 run and then blaming him for things going poorly in the following years has to be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read on Tuz.
Football heritage. Allegri inherited a dominant winning team with plenty of stars and kept the momentum going and took them to their peak (think Klopp > Slot).

Allegri 1.0 left Sarri a winning team that was slowing down and ending its cycle. He in turn left Pirlo a worse team thats further in decline but nevertheless can win Serie A and then back to Allegri 2.0 who continued the decline > Motta. So more like the chain of Mou > Ole > TenHag > Amorim.

Allegri 1.0's first year was our peak

juve needs a mafia guy, not a terrorist as main leader. bring back marotta
Your probably joking but there are plenty of posts like that around all social platforms. Marotta is literally Inter president. Im not even hating on the guy. That would have been like bring Moratti here instead of Agnelli to win again. Its never going to happen anymore.

Its different with coaches. Andrea is not around. We dont know what is going on behind closed doors.

We should forget about CL right now anyway. At this stage who cares what is Conte record in CL.

I know that Conte would pretty much improve every player level individually. And he would also win more games.

We have more draws than wins this season. This is ridiculous. On reddit people still defending Motta. And saying things like, we should stick with him cause otherwise we end up like Manutd. Conte is a proven winner with proven record. I just know that he would turn half of those Motta draws into wins. He probably would get best out of even our biggest flops. Or find new solutions. Motta also has failed to find new solutions to win games. Some of these players need to be screamed at every minute right now. I still remember those meetings after training on youtube where Conte was demanding everyone. Motta is a rookie coach. This job is too big for him.

With couple of exceptions (unlucky with Bremer injury), i dont think our squad is bad. We were 6th in january thanks to Motta shortcomings. Given the money and players brought in we should be better. Always excuses about rebuilds. Imagine if Real bring Mbappe and finish 4th and then say "rebuild, rebuild". All the time there are teams changes key players. Im hearing Inter might replace their starting keeper this summer. OMG rebuild, maybe they will only finish 4th now. Tired of these excuses.

So Motta needs time to still learn coaching? This is Juve not even Roma or Viola. We dont have time here. Should have stuck with Pirlo then. Did we just spend 5m in the summer? We are still spending more than every other italian side. Napoli buy Lukaku for 30m, we spend 75m on Vlahovic. Inter bring in Zielinski for free. Koopmeiners is 60m.

I also dont want to underestimate the emotional connection. Motta has nothing to do with Juve on the whole. Its just a job for him. And we dont see much passion on the sidelines. Now he already started to throw players under the bus in the media.
