I dont think mental prep, formation, quality of players or tactics played a big part here, there was a clear gap on display tonight, just like in most CL matches this season and imo that gap is the simple fact that we rarely play football as a team. We would lose this match with Fagioli in the starting lineup, we would lose it with Conte and Simeone flying in to do the prematch speech, we would lose it with other formations and we would lose it with Pogba and Vlahovic healthy.

Napoli players constantly move off the ball, stretch the defense out, theres often at least 2 good passing options, they keep the defense guessing and do everything a normal team does, but at a very good level. We just play heroball with di Maria, Chiesa, Kostic, Miretti, Paredes and whoever shows initiative to have a go and try smth, thats infinately more easy to defend against, the ball moves faster than any player can run. I dont think Allegri can make this team play football like a team.

You’re not a Juve fan if you enjoy watching us losing 5-1. End of story.

8 game national win streak but the Serie A before we lost against Milan and in between against Maccabi, Benfica and PSG. The games that we’ve won many were with struggles.

The team that stood on the pitch today is a lot better than everything they’ve been showing so far. 6 days to prepare the game and it became nothing

Fagioli should’ve played aswel and Chiesa was badly used
