Again. No, Allegri's job to build a squad in which there is a player that covers Cancelo's run. He wasn't able to sort it out in whole season.
Its not about covering his runs. The guy would pass the ball straight to opponents feet, unforced. You cant predict or have someone to cover that.he did it time and again.thats why no one looked back when he was shipped off.

Its not about that ffs :sergio:when you lose a ball, unforced, when your team has attacking momentum, everyone is caught off balance. And when you face good counter attacking side like Ajax, every mistake is compounded.
it wasn't even a counter, he had a poor first touch control after Ajax's long ball, then it was complete miscommunication between players, Rugani should have played more agressive to block Neres' shot with his weak foot and Tek late reaction.

then they countered and scored. great analysis though, thank you.

also, it took pep a year to regularly trust cancelo as a starter. in '19 he was raw, immature and very shaky defensively, although it was obvious that in the attacking phase he's something else (and allegri also stated that multiple times). anyway, he was sold for the plusvalenza, not because he was a bad player.

Besides, RUS doesn’t realize the Cancelo thing isn’t as favourable to his point as he thinks it is.

Under Allegri
18-19: 1goal - 5 assists in 2599 minutes = 433 minutes/ goal or assist

Under Pep:
7 goals - 16 assists in 9732 minutes = 423 minutes / goal or assist

almost identical lol

Its not about Cancelo only, you need time to adapt to Pep's tactics.
I've said it for numerous times that De Ligt is the reason why we lost Spina and Cancelo but you still create shit out of nowhere.

Back to my original point. Rugani, he shouldnt have even been playing in the first place if we had rebuilt a team.
Contract till 2023 with rumours of a contract renewal. Anyways just looking at him defending the Ajax goal like a scared chicken unfortunately the same situation happened against villareal.

Just another bullshit out of nowhere. We are discussing how Pep's tactics are working with Cancelo's overlap runs, what the fuck does this have to do with the number of his assists that Cancelo has ? jesus you are absolutely braindead
