This I agree with :p

And again, it doesn’t work with Dybala as a 9 without a Ronaldo type winger, who is just a box goalscorer pretending to be a winger. Dybala as 9 with Bernadeschi/Kulu/Cuadrado as wingers is just about the dumbest idea I’ve heard.
Morata-Dybala-Cuadrado
Locatelli-Arthur-Mckennie

That would produce more than what we saw last night, I bet my LIFE on it. There is no way to prove it, of course.

We’re just gonna disagree. Morty is in such shit form and confidence, playing on the left isn’t going to help him currently.

Anyways, I agree with you on Mckennie. Playing him wide is dumb and doesn’t work. He’s a midfielder. But IMO, if he can’t improve his passing he is never going to be anywhere near starting XI quality B2B for a top team. 6-8 goals a year aren’t enough to make up for the constant errant passes and poor defensive play in our half.

Many men have tried it and lived. Klopp could have played Origi but he played Jota. Pep could have played Jesus but he played Silva/Foden. Tuchel could have played Werner but he played Pulisic/Havertz.

It happens.
Dybala as CF is not even the biggest problem for me with that line-up. I don't care that much how you have our attackers lined up on paper as Dybala pretty much plays the same way no matter what his theoretical position is. The bigger problem is that I don't think there is any possibility that Arthur would have performed better than Bentancur in yesterday's game. Actually he did not perform as well as Bentancur, even though he got to play against a tired Milan.

Ya if you play 4-4-2 and deep then I pick Bentancur for sure.

If you play 1 striker and 5 midfielders and the team plays higher, I would take Arthur so that Loca and McKennie don't have to touch the ball as much and can enter the box. This is logical to me since they are I think literally the only CMs that have scored for us. But I respect different opinions that prefer them not to be in the box.

I have my doubts about us playing higher, imo we'd have just lost the physical battle to Milan and been under more pressure.

If we actually are getting Vlahovic, a prolific and clinical #9, then zero excuses for not getting top 4 finish + CL QFs.

If Allegri fails the above, I’ll join you with #streetEuroMax

@Bjerknes :snoop:
It's a really good signing, he should grab enough goals to make a big difference. Just worry about the service though. Hope we achieve on both fronts.
