He explains it a little differently though. Or i interpret it differently. Hé assumes you cant always have the initiative. When you dont you cant expose yourself and keep focus on the hand you are dealt at that moment. Hé also assumes theres always a small time in any game you can strike and take the game home, miss it and you need to shore up.

having said that, its pretty similar to what you said. But i would not say he gives the initiative away. He just expects it to happen.
I find it amusing that some people think we are going to go dominate Barca and Madrid for 90 minutes and destroy them. Ya know, two all-time great teams, Madrid winning 4 of 5 CL through that era. Yeah, we should go crush them for 90 minutes, there’s no way they are going to be able to take the initiative at all, for even a moment of the game

Even more amusing is that these same people are the ones calling half our players shit. They should be worshipping the very ground Allegri walks on for having those shit players get us to CL finals. :boh:

There is a live thread on Allegri on Football-Italia. LIVE: Latest news on Allegri to Juventus - Football Italia (football-italia.net)

I see a lot of undercover interisti posting:

adpino: Mixed feelings. We'll win with Allegri, but only by playing the kind of sterile, thrustless football Sarri and Pirlo were brought in to counteract with something a bit more contemporary and progressive. This is a safe move backwards. I think I'd probably have stuck with Pirlo, who, at his best, has played far nicer football than Allegri, and might be expected to get more consistency out of the team with more time and a transfer market. But I understand that Agnelli's hands are forced by timing.

Sajuve59: The return of Allegri to Juventus is a big mistake. Angeli ruined Juventus himself. Let Pirlo doing his job for for another year.He would be successful. I bet on it.

Moe: Can we just hire Gasperini FFS?!!! I want to see an exciting Juve again....it's been a damn while.

And by the way, why the fack did they ruin FI? The new look is awful.
Was thinking the same. The stories are all over the place and don't seem to be in order.
