I don't think so. This current squad is way bigger and better than 2017 's in every position. How come we could play beautiful and meaning full game with that Pjanic - Khedira due but can't repeat the same with much better players all across the squad.

This team need new ideas more than new players.

Yes and no.

A pair of top tier well rounded CMs covers up the glaring holes in an otherwise very strong squad but then you need to play suited to the new strength in the center. I think if they are really of quality then it does an awful lot for this side and there would be no excuses about lacking quality in the team

Of course we also need to fire everyone involved in fitnesd training, burn j medical to the ground and start new.
