I remember when Liverpool played United in 2016, and Can dispossessed Pogba a bunch of times in that game.

I hope Max does the right thing and plays Can. He's the only one on our team who has played Mourinho's United.
I think he'll focus on integrating Ronaldo and Cancelo into the XI for now. Can afterwards in Khedira's place. Hopefully.

There's statistical evidence Khedira had a great season last year. If you want to take xG and all that BS and believe it to be true for teams, you have to do the same with Sami. Giovinco had 15 goals and 15 assists one year, such a great year right? I told you before and I'll tell you again - xG and specific stats are good only for individual players comparisons who play the same position or have similar roles - for example looking at what kind of chances strikers usually have, their conversion rate etc. You cannot fit an entire team into that. There's way too much space for error and variation from player to player within a team, let alone with other teams included.

When you realize football will never be able to fit into statistical parameters and judged by it like American sports you'll be better off. It's a game of instincts and as such you can throw stats out and just watch and enjoy the journey.

Stats can and should be used in soccer. You just need to include more variables and understand stats. Using two variables to come to a conclusion thinking it's statistically significant is way too common in this sport.

'Scudetto passes through Parma’
By Football Italia staff

Max Allegri has warned Juventus not to take Parma lightly on Saturday. “Titles pass through games like these.”

The match kicks off tomorrow at 19:30 BST – click here for a preview.

“Historically [the Tardini] is a field where Juve have always struggled,” he said at a Press conference.

“it won’t be a walk in the park because titles pass through games like these. The first mini-cycle is coming to an end, but I want to have a peaceful international break and to do that, I want the three points.

My defence is confirmed, but I have a doubt on the right between Cancelo and Cuadrado. (Cuads il nuovo RB :touched:) One of Emre Can and Khedira will play in midfield, Pjanic is fit and De Sciglio is available. Up front, it’ll be Cristiano Ronaldo with Mandzukic.

Allegri was then asked about Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to skip the Champions League draw, amidst suggestions it was instigated by Luka Modric winning UEFA’s Men’s Player of the Year award.

“It was a personal decision, which must be respected, but it shows how he always wants to work in order to remain the best player in the world,” added the Coach.

“CR7’s arrival must be an incentive for Dybala, but I see him looking calm. He must find the best condition. As for Sami [Khedira], a player like him can’t be criticised. @DAiDEViL

I’ve always been inspired by those who win, such as Capello and Lippi. Ultimately it doesn’t say on their honours list, 'they played well but finished second.’

“Once I retire, some of the good guys will tell me what it means to play well…”

Looks like Mario is our go-to Striker...thank Goodness. CR7 can have more freedom to roam. I'm liking this partnership. Only question now is who else gets the nod for attack...

It doesn't matter IMO. We don't have that many attacking players so it's important for Allegri to figure out possible solutions and mix it a little bit. We don't want to burn out in the middle of the season, that's why Dybala and Costa will have to sit out some games even though they are legit starters for us :)
Since Allegri doesn't consider Dybala as CF and he won't trust Kean that much I think that we won't see Mandzukic and CR7 that often together. The good thing is that we have the variety in the attack so Allegri can look for alternative solutions but at this point it's all about getting all the possible points home.

I rate Allegri highly, but I cannot understand why it takes him a while until he players all of our best players at once. This season in particular is crucial because we need the likes of Costa and Dybala adjusting to Ronaldo and ensuring that we have the right formation for Ronaldo.

Might have to consider Can as DM instead of Pjanic to help Bonucci. And put Pjanic in Khedira's position.

Can gets in better defensive positions to defend crosses.

Also please start Costa, duh.
