Allegri has no choice because of Higuain/Dybala. You have to play 4-4-2 or 3-5-2. End of discussion.

I'm absolutely positive Allegri would prefer a 4-3-3 but in that scenario you're basically benching a "100M striker" (either Higuain or Dybala) for Matuidi, Marchisio or something.

Marotta has to fix this problem. This giant, huge problem our team has. And that is Higuain/Dybala have no chemistry and are not good enough to ask the team to defend with only 8 instead of 9.

1 in 100 coaches would bench Dybala/Higuain.
I agree that they're not good enough for the sacrifices we have to make to include both in the starting line-up.

I thought they do have some chemistry, but I looked into it and stats support you more than they do me, they indeed have little interaction between them. :D Higgy assisted Dybala against Spurs, Torino, Udinese and Dybala assisted Higgy against Milan, Napoli, Genoa. So thats 6 goals out of 44 those two have scored this season, pretty incredible, I don't think there's another pairing in Europe that assist each other only for ~14% of the goals they score :D

But let's talk about individual brilliance. We just lost to a team full of individuals that are better than our individuals. Does that mean the individual brilliance thing goes both ways?

I'm confused
Yeah, Real beat us thanks to individual brilliance. I didn't think that they were that great.

But Allegri has been poor in the Champions League this season. Roma had more fight in them against Barcelona than we did against either Real or Barca.

Real thrashed us while Benzema was playing...

I’m pretty sure Benzema has been a starter for Real for the last decade, I don’t see why people are acting like he’s a scrub.

Your point? In their system Benzema is actually a fairly decent striker. As is demonstrated by the fact all those world class players around him like him a lot.
It's not the problem that we don't have enough players to defend, the problem is that we play too safe and we need to attack more and dominate more. If we are more attack minded at least we won't sit back scared when we play vs Real, Barca, Bayern

The worst part is they just assume he got lucky and Real have been fielding him all those years, even if he's clearly not good enough.

Yep. People argue liekwise with Khedira. "How can this lucker be a world champ and a CL winner!!!!!"

Benzema is a really good player. If he was efficient, he would be regarded among the best strikers in the world.

You would think that Juventus, a team that wins their domestic league every single season by dealing with opposition playing like cowards almost every matchday would realise that flipping the scenario and playing like corwards themselves against the big boys in Europe will not fucking work

I know, people fail to park the bus against us, but if WE try concede possession without a fight and with a bunch of old men against Ronaldo, maybe just maybe it will work.

By evidence, you mean random numbers, right?
Those numbers represent the quality and quantity of chances we have created this season. If you want to dismiss them as random numbers because you don’t like them, go ahead.

Our xG is the 6th highest in Serie A. Atalanta create better and more chances than we do. That is absolutely inexcusable. We have by far the best squad in Italy, and we are still terrible going forward.

When our better players advantage disappears (against Barcelona and Real Madrid), we lose 3-0

Obvious no 1 bullshit news. He might be thinking about leaving if he fells he has nothing more to give the team, but he would not tell the team, when we still have a return leg, Coppa final and the Scudetto race to concentrate on. That would be unproffesionel and Allegri has always acted as a professionel both in Juventus and in Milan.

I dont think Allegri will leave but if he does - I hope our board get us a tactican but one who like to attack - I think this is a change that must be inserted into Italian football
P.S Im not referring to Napoli when Im saying attack as I think Napoli style of play is ridiculous as they always do the same things and Im really surprised the league didnt realize it yet - Napoli shouldnt be that hard to handle if you play the right way..
Deschamps was linked but I really hope we skip on him as I really dont rate him as a coach..
DP said that coaching is starting to appeal him more and more - I hope to see him in charge one day and deliver what we fail to deliver year after year..

Would you say that a swap of Griezmann+50M for Dybala would be a good one for us?
Value wise it's a great deal for us. But still leaves us in the predicament of incorporating a SS like Griezmann with Higuain.

My goal would be to shift the team to 4-3-3 and I don't care who has to get sold upfront.

Been saying that the past few months.

And before this gets solved we shouldn't go on to sign players. Remember when we passed on Tolisso because he couldnt play in a 2 man mid?
Yes, I said that in the Marotta thread a few times. All our moves are predicated on the situation with our strikers.

But there's another great player we have who is also affected by this formation and it's Pjanic. He is just simply not a CM in a 4-4-2. He does his best and I don't see a lack of effort, but he is holding on for dear life most of the time.

2 man strike formations are dead. You need exceptional personnel to pull that shit off and you'd still be better without it.

That's why I don't care if we sell Dybala. He can only live up to his potential in a system that doesn't work at the top level.

We need to pick a formation and build around it instead of buying players for last seasons formation and changing it straight after. Stupid stuff.
