Tactically flawless tonight.
Now improve our passing under pressure and we will be on our way to another glory.
he cant have that with a DC-Sami-Pjanic-Matuidi midfield and no AS or Mandzu to keep the ball. Matuidi isnt good enough passer to play it in space for Higuain (or Higuain is too slow to catch those) when Pjanic and Dybala are closed down. but to be fair to us, it wasnt our intention to keep the ball as we were dead set on defending the lead and seeing if we can get something on the counter

Only Max Allegri can field a defence consisting of Kwadwo Asamoah, Medhi Benatia and Mattia De Sciglio and not only beat crapoli away at the san paolo, ending their undefeated record but also keep a clean sheet
:agree:

You summed it up pretty well, some might forget the little details by which Max pulled this off

I think what was on display here is Juve character vs Napoli character. They were nervous and fluffed the many chances they created. Insigne was shooting from distance every time he got the ball. They were in a rush.

Our mentality is a lot stronger than theirs and it showed. I believe the same will happen to Inter. They will play a better game but we will remain calm throughout and snatch the win from under their noses. Once we are back in the lead thats it we are staying there till the end and they will go back to being 2nd and 3rd and being content with that.

We all slate Allegri for being stubborn and cowardly sometimes, but today showed us why he's one of the best. He isn't afraid of changing formations in key matches. (from 3-5-2 to 4-3-1-2 to 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-2-1 again).

I don't know why, but he still doesn't get the credit he deserves. He'll have to win a CL with us to finally be considered the best I guess. The whole world calling Sarri the best in Italy but this guy has actually been winning with us for 3 plus years now. Forza Allegri. Forza Juve.

Max is building the team from the back and only focus on that, we clearly have to improve like hell if we r gonna try a real shot in europe but a clean sheet against Napoli over there it's more about gaining confidence while destroying Napolitans dreams

Second half we couldn't hold the ball just one time, it was quite bad in attack but we did an awesome job in defense

when Pjanic and Dybala arent having their game or are closed down, we dont look dangerous at all. its time to start Marchisio, but is he even ready to play 60-90 minutes of high tempo? we need more guys that can keep and pass the ball, so Dybala can focus more on being a striker than a playmaker

Credit goes to him for reading So well napolis gameplan.

It was not cute to see us letting them have the ball for 70 mins tho, but well it worked this time and it made sense taking in account where and who we played.

Clean sheets is what we expect for this team. The verdict is still on him to see how he faces the coming month. There is a lot at stake and he needs to find the right balance for us to be able to dominate games too, because like someone said, we are a team that suffers when we are in need to diminate and score goals, but we like to defend leads. Sadly in europe, you cant control all the games and there will be moments when you need to know how to grab them by the troath.

That said, in the end Im happy with this performance and i prefer a win and 3 points rather than getting pummeled in naples by reading the game wrong. This win can prove to be crucial.
