I disagree. Last year we were a top 3 team in Europe on paper. Not this year though. Real, Bayern, Barca, PSG and maybe City have better starting 11 than us.

Talent wise Madrid, Bayern, Barca, PSG, and arguably City were more talented than us. Its just we work harder and have a better coach like Atletico used to.

Allegri is not better than Zidane. If he was, he would not have played a 2 man midfield of Pjanic and Khedira against Madrid's diamond.

Allegri is not better than Ancelotti either. We were just lucky that Bayern and Real faced each other early.

City had a terrible defense and goalkeeper last season, they were not better than us. PSG weren't better than us either before they bought Neymar and Mbappe.

The only coach that Allegri actually outperformed was Luis Enrique, not a very high bar.

Losing Alves and Bonucci hurt, but Rugani and Licht are not the reason to why our midfield and attack can't string two passes together.

He's a good coach but he's so friggin' stubborn. It took him a very long time to find the balance last year and he needs to be quicker this season!

Our attack featured Higuain, Dybala, and Mandzukic and our midfield had Pjanic+Khedira. That isnt monster compared to Madrid or Bayern.

However now that I think of it we prolly were third since Barca werent too great.

However this year we are def fifth if not lower in terms of talent.

Yes but teams need continuity we should have bought a quality midfielder since it was quite evident that midfield was a weak link in cl final as well as khedira and Marchisio being injury prone neither marotta bought quality midfielder nor right back you can see for yourself what has happened to atletico Madrid our management has let allegri down if allegri has to be sacked than so does marotta

Marchisio started in the 2-0 victory over Monaco and came on in the final. Hell, starting Lemina wouldn't have been the worst idea in the world. We clearly needed an extra man in midfield, that much was obvious.
