last season after 13 games we had 33 points and played, if not as bad as we are right now. right now we are at 31. if we win vs Crotone we will have 34 vs 33 at the same time last season, so im not worried, even though his squad selections can be irritating sometimes.

as long as we are on pace for 90 pts in Serie A im OK even if we play 514 with Asamoah and Licht as WFs. what i want is the CL, so those 7 games from February till May is what this season will be judged on by me
To be honest we played way worse last year at the same time, when Max consistently tried to field all our shitty CM at once.

Hopefully he will figure out how to make our team work in the second half of the season this year aswell.

You prefer to do it after we are disqualified in the CL and let Napoli to extend their point gap?
And you guarantee with a new coach at this stage of the season we won't regress even further? Not forgetting the FACT that allegro is one of the best coaches around and there is no coach available at the moment that wont be a huge step backwards.

I have been in the Allegri-out camp since I joined this forum. It's not about the results, it's about the football we play.

The football we play is straight out of the early 2000s, our defenders just hoof it to our forwards. We don't pass the ball with purpose, because we don't have a midfield. There is zero fluidity in our play.

Allegri has no balls. He's too scared to give young players a chance, too scared to rotate, too scared to try different formations. He's a coward and his prehistoric tactics are holding us back.
I am not really a big Allegri fan, but calling him scared to try new formation and scared to rotate is maybe taking it a bit far.

We are never going to play attractive attacking football under Allegri, but usually he is really good ad organising a defense, reading matches and managing a season.

Lets wait til the season end to judge him.

you might be right, i dont remember it that well for some reason. i do remember Pjanics statpadding and people criticizing him despite the impressive goal/assist ratio for not being involved enough, but other than that, not much.

i believe he will figure it out in the end. he did so the past 2 seasons (even 2014-15 tbh, we were delivering in Serie A but not in the CL, until we started playing his famous 4-3-something) after being in a similar situation like now. there is no reason to believe this time it will be any different

The question is whether mandzukic and cuadrado are our best choices for lw and rw when bernadeschi and costa are in the squad. Costa is better than mandzukic as a winger. Bernadeschi in my opinion has more skillset to offer than cuadrado. The reality is both mandzukic and cuadrado start because allegri plays this ridicuolously flawed 4231 formation that relies on our wingers to do the hard work in midfield. You dont see players like messi neymar ronaldo and other wide attackers doing the hard work like mandzukic for example cuz the teams they play ensure fhe midfield and defense is well balanced.

Change the formation, balance the midfield, make the hard call and bench who needs to be benched to ensure we are well balanced as a team and have players on the field who will take us to the next level.

Please dont say the 4231 got us to a cl final cuz it is exactly what made us lose it as well.
Emphasizing your last sentence maybe it is not the formation that is at fault? In my opinion the issue is the lack of motivation and poor form of certain individuals. As Chiellini said, we should be winning against opposition like Sampdoria no matter the formation and day of the week. You could easily see the difference today between players like Barna, Chiellini, Higuain who were eager to play and the rest of the squad who were totally uninterested. There is no point in playing Mandzukic and Cuadrado at the expense of Costa and Berna if we are losing games in the league. At least let the new acquisitions gel with the team and hope for the better future. I also think that especially Khedira and Mandzukic could use some time on the bench to rediscover their hunger.

He isn't even good at that anymore.

The only games we have won this season are against teams who we beat through shear quality. We've been outplayed and beaten by two Europa League level teams (Lazio & Sampdoria). Barca is the only top team we've faced and we lost 3-0.
