The 14/15 squad was the best we had imo. The only weakness with that squad was we had no bench but the starting 11 was fantastic
Disagree. This team is more attacking minded now , play better football with more flair and also equally defend just as good as past teams. I dint see the same level of dynamism in the 14-15 team.

Just take our fullbacks for example. Licht and Evra are a farcry from how Dani Alves and Alex Sandro have performed in Europe this season.

2 years ago, we could barely keep the ball against Barcelona in the final. Now, not only did we beat them but also dominated them. It was a Bayern-esque performance from us. Granted this Barca team might have declined but not as much as people seem to suggest.
Agree with Xperd here.

The problem with our team in 2015 was that the whole team was built around the midfieldrs, but they were mostly holding mids so our creative department was nonexistent since we had winegrs who were unable to create or attack in asamoah and licht. We bet all our money on a lucky play from tevez or morata...and a miracle freekick from Pirlo. But everything else was left to our mids to fight it out and well...create something?.

This time, he bulk of our play is heavily focused on our attackers and wingbacks.... but this time our wingbacks are lethal. Also in attack we have 2 players who can create in dybala and Higuain. both are a real treat and do not depend on lucky shots or counters. Dybala in particular is very technical and can dribble a lot in tight spaces. On midfield we lack the physicality of the 2015 team, but we balance it by having 3 players in marchisio, khedira and pjanic who can play the ball well..... but most importantly...can take the play quickly to our attacking wingers and forwards.

The big difference here is that we have options to move the ball around the field..... before we had to rely on too much luck because our wongers were clueless and our midfielders had to defend and create and they were not attacking mids. It was not as functional

As I said before, Max is truly a master mind. Our weird and kind of nonsense first half of this season (Dybala so down, Pipa SS, trying to hard with Asa CM, Stu as starter in so many games, Lemina treatment after Lyon, and go and go) It was preparing the team for this, physically, mentally, tactically, technically.

Max is a true genius
and even if he starts next season with Paulo like LW or CM or any other $#@! I would know his genious mind is working in something I just can't understand
Come on. All those problems were not on purpouse to prepare us. We were in real legit problems but allegri found a solution midseason and now we are ok.

Dybala playing deep force him to be faster thinking in a creative way, it cost him a nasty injured but he's doing a lot of one touch awesome pass (Against Monaco he did exactly what an AM should do, create space and numerical superiority with just a few movements)

Pipa like SS prepare him to be more defense involve, improve his passing skills, show everyone that even the 90m burger need to do a lot of workrate

Stu like starter even when he's way too limited technically to show that workrate matters a lot... Anyway, Max is a genius and that's all, let's enjoy

:agree:

But I'd rather have Spalletti. Especially after Monaco beats us 3-1 in Turin.

Dyabla has been amazing in his role. Always releasing the ball at the right times never holding on to it for too long after making space for himself.

I have been very impressed with him I have to say

If I remember correctly Allegri in Milan used 4-3-1-2, and I think we have players for that, we just have to replace Cuadrado with Marchisio, Allegri did not try it this year! I wonder how bad/good we would perform.
Buffon
Dani, Bonnuci, Chiellini, Alex Sandro
Pjanic
Khedira Marchisio
Dybala
Higuain-Mandzukic

Lost the locker room.
If it was just this game I would disagree. But it's been going on all season. We are in dire need of a man who can gain the respect of his players. Our players see Max being a pussy and a coward and don't respect that. Disgusting too watch Max on the sideline prancing around like a little cowardly fairy princess.
