Think Allegri is gonna leave. Constant smoke from the media and cryptic comments point towards the obvious, not to mention the fact that you really can't trust Beppe's reassurences after a couple of cases of him almost blatantly lying while fixing things behind our backs: Beppe denied being after Higuain when the deal was close to being done and he also denied Pogba leaving when Raiola said it had been negotiated with the management for a longer time. Wouldn't be suprised if they've already reached a mutual agreement and are just playing down hype to keep the results rolling til the end of the season.

It wouldn't be a catastrophe though; if Allegri is truly losing the dressing room like reports say then it's good to fix it before it starts affecting our performances. Allegri is a world class coach, but he has clear faults too and if he fails to make it far in the CL I believe we have reached the limit with him. Lots of good coaches to choose from right now too: Sousa is under fire and could leave, EDF will probably like a jump up in quality, Guardiola is under fire (I know most of you hate him), Klopp is under fire too after bad results, Emery is a possibility if PSG fail to meet targets and it wouldn't be far fetched to try and lure the likes of Sampaoli or Jardim here.

rumors saying that allegri would leave are entirely based on one single episode: that passionate conversation caught by a fan after the supercoppa. i'm not sure that these decisions are made in the heat of the moment. also, arsenal?

my guess is that it's all just some usual media speculation. last year, before conte signed for them, allegri was a potential chelsea coach for the english press. it smells the same bullshit once again.

I have to say that I think Allegri has flirted with the idea of playing Dybala wide for the last two games.

Against Inter when Marchisio came on we played:

and against Crotone we chanced after initial problems to:

It's disconcerting to hear these rumours. Allegri has won over our hearts from the day he arrived and that only feels like it was yesterday. If it did come down to him leaving it will most certainly be a sad day. What we really need is a manager that lasts as long as Lippi initially did for us. This chopping and changing every 3 seasons or so isn't good for anyone.


Remember the Tevez and Boca rumours? They came out during January. Everyone said, chill the fuck out, ain't happening, blah di blasi and then it all came out end of season. I wouldn't approach this with hysteria nor through blind faith.

It was not a comment on Allegri as such. Just saying that having a long term coach should not neccesaraly be a goal.
