If we have a chance to get Pep and Allegri leaves, we should. Although, we should expect for big changes if that happens, both due to Pep's ability to lure players, and the fact that he moves around players in traditional positions.

Good point.

However I could say he was decent on a good day. Pep on the other hand makes me want to vomit :D The guy is a choker. He failed to impress so many times it's crazy.

I'd seriously take a half of Allegri over that guy.
Pep's success has everything to do with his team. To play the Pep style you need a world class midfield. City doesn't have a world class midfield. And Bayern was quite dominant, but the team still had holes. Pep's Bayern annihilated most teams, but would occasionally get beaten by other heavyweight giants, which is expected.

Fernandinho, Silva, De Bruyne? Fernando, Yaya, Gündogan as backups?

Because of how much he would cost or because of his playing style?
both, and also because the players he would need to suit his style will not be met by marotta and co and there for he is already destined to fail at Juve.

I mean can you seriously imagine him trying to achieve what he wants with the likes of Sturaro, hernanes, rincon in the team? I don't think so, he can't even show much with his current man city midfield which is far better in terms of like for like quality than our own

Pep

How come some still haven't figured out he's a fraud.

Like Max would do any worse than him with that City team he has available.
He'd have less posession (god forbid :scared:) though.

Imagine the meltdowns after those 70% possession losses in the Championsleague :touched:
That douche is cancer, he and his style of football. Both disgusting.

Silva and De Bruyne are better off in very offensive roles and often play either up high in 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. They are not very good defensively. Fernandinho is no world beater. Pep's previous midfielders were much better at ball retention and in general were more talented closer to midfield rather than closer to the front line. Also the backline was much better in distribution.

Thiago, Vidal, Lahm, Martinez, Alonso.
Boateng, Alaba, Lahm, Bernat etc

Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets
Pique, Alves etc

The city team just lacks that ability on the backline and in the centre of the park, which is why we have seen the likes of Kolarov at centreback. At the problem is that the premier league is more competitive than the Bundesliga with 2-3 more title viable teams (Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea).

Simply put: Pep's current team isn't effective for his playing style, and lacks the quality of his previous teams. And the step of competition makes it even more difficult. But this is typical EPL problems...buy the expensive attacking midfielder, strikers and most importantly...WINGERS (The EPL has this obsession with offensive wingers, and it is to the detriment of the league), and neglect the centre of the pitch.

When Pep has a team perfect for his style, it is scary dominant, but if he doesn't, the team will have lots of holes. I agree that an Italian coach would do better with the current city side.

wtf happened to my post...

this i agree with. but shouldnt the best coach in the world be able to win with something different than a top3 team in the world? shouldnt he be able to adjust his system to the players he has at his disposal (he already failed at this in Bayern)? so far this season Conte is schooling his overrated ass and hopefully his dream of winning all the major leagues will be over soon when he gets kicked out of Citeh

Definitely agree. You put him in Serie B, he could get schooled, but maybe not to the same extent as in the Championship because at least the players in Serie B know the meaning of the word tactics.
Pep needs a specific team to succeed. It doesn't even have to be the best team in the world. It just needs players world class at ball retention, and passing. But also, enough stamina to press effectively, and competence with respect to creativity in the final third, goalscoring ability, and distribution from the back third. This City team is extremely mediocre in all aspects except quality in the final third (creativity and goal scoring).
