Мax Allegri welcomed Alex Sandro to Juventus, discussed Paul Pogba’s role and said there’s “no need to worry” about injuries.

The Coach spoke to Sky Sport Italia after today’s traditional pre-season game between the senior and youth teams, decided 1-0 by a Pogba strike.

“It was in general a good training session looking ahead to Udinese this weekend, which will not be easy. Giorgio Chiellini gave a good response on his comeback and we are ready for this tough season.

“It requires patience and balance, because we are a new team and have to find our rhythm. There is enthusiasm, though.”

Today Pogba played in the Andrea Pirlo style deep-lying playmaker position, but Allegri insisted it was only an experiment.

Genius action wich sets the defence on the wrong foot, and then sends a player trough, is called breaking opposition tactics.
Its players with the ability to get trough organised teams


Götze isnt comming, but thats exactly what he does. And one of the key aspects of dortmunds succes with him. They were excellent on the counter, but when teams were organised it was always gotze who found solutions

Lots of teams are effectively playing 4-2-4, but branding it at 4-2-3-1.

That means a 4-3-1-2 team has the chance to go and absolutel dominate the midfield and have an awful lot of control over a game.

Tend to think of 4-3-1-2 as being a predominantly Italian/Argentinian thing anyway - don't think it has ever been very popular more generally.

Pretty much sums up what I was thinking. That formation can definitely work to our advantage and make the opposition uncomfortable.
