I trust Allegri, his results have proven it thus far. Yeah ok I was worried about the 352, but it worked out in the end. I strongly doubt he'll set us out like that against Barcelona, he knows what he's doing.

And in truth, once Pereyra came on, you could see what a difference it made while still using the 3-5-2.
Juve did make some changes to try and adapt to 3-5-2 to be more aggrsssive and they coincided with Pereyra coming on.

Where it had been pretty orthodox 3-5-2 before that, Evra held a bit deeper, Lichtsteiner pushed up, Pereyra tried to push into a more trequartista-ish position and Tevez starting drifting further left to try and find space. That's all as well as Matri looking to move away from the play to stretch Lazio out a bit.

Storari

Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini

-----------------------------Evra

Lichtsteiner---------Pirlo--Vidal------------

Pereyra-------------

------------------Tevez

Matri

All sensible tinkering to try and win a game without taking too many risks.

It is an amazing showcase of pure peasantry, that live thread yesterday. A showcase of the inability for peasants to learn and adapt.

Allow me :

First, i'm not going to explain the hows and the why's of our performance, as that has been said before, and its useless as you'll read further on.

Before the real game, we had a trow away game. Was obvious. Players rested, those playing averagely motivated, holding back etc.
People were shouting : "if we play like this against real we'll suffer

You see peasants, this is juventus. We are THE mental team. Results in big games, underperform when we play smaller teams but grind out a win anyway most of the time.

Against Madrid, we offcourse has two blasts of games, despite missing Pogby.

So you'd think peasants can remember. Remember that especially in this phase, the team is between loading up for massive occasions, and playing a deload game in between.

Against Lazio more of the same shit comments all game. Notice Morata and Marchisio beeing rested. Notice Allegri not reluctant to play a formation Luis Enrique can stury (aka you play the "lock the door trow the key" 5-3-2), players holding back greatly, etc. Offcourse as we have seen so many times, not representative of actual juventus quality.
yeah, coppa final, but you know that a non full strength side witch is holding back will not nearly perform as they can.
Then we also have Pirlo in a 532 meaning Vidal and Pogba are very limited, Tevez isolated
Yet what they did ? Complain, but that is fine on its own. THEN, came the shitty comments that "like this we'll get raped against Barcelona".

Offcourse this was far and away representative for the Juventus mentality, formation, starting 11 and tactics we'll play against Barcelona. Unless you are peasant.

See, these people, dont deserve to talk about #Euromaxx. They dont understand him. We should have a special retard kid section where they can support, but make it soundproof so we dont have to hear what they say.

if the 352 was meant to shut down lazio it didn’t work well.
they had a lot of good counter attacks. so why even keep playing it if it doesnt work?

we easily could’ve played 4312, would’ve been equally solid + way better to create chances ourselfs.
352 stretches out our CM and leaves them with only one task - running.
thats just a waste of talent right there.

but yeah...

We needed to rest marchisio, buffon, morata, and play pogba shortly

We also needed to practice 352 in case we want to lock up stuff

Seems like we did just that.

Expecting 4312 against barcelona, and 352 if we want to lock the game

I don't recall dangerous counter-attacks.

I can remember Lazio players being able to run with the ball, but never in a way that really threatened to result in a chance.

They could get through/beyond Juve's midfield, but with Juve playing three central defenders, they never looked like penetrating.

Marchisio and Morata were suspended. Storari always plays in the Coppa.

Other than Storari, I think Allegri picked what he considered the strongest side he could.

I'm expecting a back four against Barca.

i hope so.
playing 532 vs. players like Bale, who are pretty much useless without having space,
is totally different from playing it vs. messi & iniesta.

if we start using the 352 i dont see us winning.
for 10 - 20 minutes it might work.

Could you translate the whole thing? :D

I can understand most written Italian, but spoken, and especially in this...condition (plus the subpar sound quality) it's difficult.
