I think he just doesnt want trouble with him and fans. Or maybe he doesnt want to create discomfort at this stage of the season?. Anyways..if Pirlo is not playing better than Marchisio, he should be benched... but it seems allegri wants to field his 3 best players in vidal marchisio and Pirlo.

I've also noticed that Max never used to be so out of control on the touchline when he was at Meelan. I wonder if he's playing to the gallery with all those over exaggerated gestures a la Conte. It probably suited Contes personality more but Max just about pulls it off as well. I also wonder if he shakes hand with his opposing number before walking off into the dressing rooms like he normally does immediately as the ref blows the whistle. Wonder what all that's about. Trying to act too classy

allegri knows that marchisio is the one to play as a regista but as you said he doesn’t want trouble with pirlo, but it’s not professional to do that, at least he should play marchisio as regista and vidal-pirlo around him
