Thats because Conte is a pretty good tactician. I always defended the arguments against him, as they were the wrong ones.
I'm a fan of using a deep defensive line. Conte doesnt do that. But he needs that high defensive line for his pressing style. And Conte's tactical style was good. Even in the failed Cl year, the team lost due to its own motivation and individual mistakes, Conte's tactical plan was mostly good.
Conte was our Coach. I defend the coach when his style works.
But here is the deal. I defended Allegri when he was back at milan. I rode his dick after the barcelona games. Look it up if you must. What other non juventus coach bar mourinho have i praised since i'm here ? Only Allegri. Because i fucking loved how he rolled back the years and showed how proper deep defending as a unit is done.
And i fucking love how he's doing exactly that. During Conte's reign, i had faith in the coach, but i've allways had nerves when we were pressed. Something that i didnt use to have before calciopoli. In the Dortmund games, there was no nerve. The defence radiated confidence, concentration, impeccable teampositionning, and never remotely looked like we'd concede a goal.
Fuck it, we were even doing well on crosses, freekicks and corners.
