I have to say I am positively surprised with how well allegri is captaining this ship. I thought the pressure of succeeding Conte would get to him but he managed that pretty well. Look at how Inter and Chelsea suffered after mourinho left or United suffered after Fergie or even liverpool with Benitez. He wasn't even a popular hiring when he first came here and so he would have never been given the kind of patience, Moyes and van gaal , Benitez with inter, Scolari with chelsea got.

Bravo Allegri.

People are still complaining :touched: This forum never ceases to amaze me.
told you. even when win, always something to complain about.

We have such great depth yet we have almost no one to use from the bench.
this is such bullshit. you need to stop whining and u know why. let me explain child

Morata was brought on a depth signing turning into a long term investment. llorente was supposed to parnter tevez. except lloente is shit, just like your post so morata the depth signing is now winning us matches. 1 - that proves we have depth, and 2- marotta could not have known llorente would suck so much.

evra, pereyra, and coman. all depth signings all played today.

Why is Allegri getting some slack after a win in the CL? People seem to forget how easy we used to implode after scoring or after the opponents equalizing. Looking back every time we got chucked out of the CL it always reflected on our inability to cope. Painfully being exposed, utterly bewildered about how we should have responded and totally ineffective. For the first time in a while there seems to be some confidence in the team. This game could well be the one that tips the scale. That brings back the belief. That gets us back into the big team mentality. So quite the bitching & enjoy the moment. Hopefully by the 2nd leg we will have our top players in better shape & get the job done.
Am cautiously optimistic & this feels great. Looking forward to the 2nd leg.

His defensive tactics were almost flawless. Very organized and collective like, the back 4 worked together at almost all times. I'm starting to believe we stand a chance of surprising everybody and going much further than expected.

At matches like this you see why he's better than Conte ever was. Keep it up, boss!
Please don't do that. Don't get that idea into this forum's mind.

Not sure it was weak tactics though. We did well up until our first goal. An unlucky moment from Chiellini rocked the boat but we never gave up. With or without Pirlo.
Never said weak tactics, what I mean with pussy tactics is the non-willingness to attack, press and score more goals but rather conserve and protect yourself from conceding.

You're right, he would have brought Borriello back instead.

berardi, el sharawy, cerci, etc etc..
still use 3-5-2.
also.zaza and gio is fast too.

and again, he were the one who didnt want to use morata and pereyra.
he rejected them.

and now you said marotta didnt give him a pacey player to play counter attack. systems.
Cerci in the national team... he has been a nomad for over a year now  el shwarma has been on and off with injuries for years again. As i said it doesnt really stretch beyond zaza and giovinco so i dont see how its Conte's fault.

Ironically prandelli tried and tested the 4-3-1-2 and 4-3-3 with Italy and looked terrible whilst I can recall members of this forum hoping that Italy would switch to a 3-5-2 or similar as it suited them better, namely when Italy played Spain
