Marchisio, second minute, had only to put it in the net, big miss
Vidal, good shot saved by Handa
Vidal, excellent shot saved by D'ambrosio on the line
Pirlo's free-kick, another great save by Handa who was going in the opposite direction
Morata stopped by Campagnaro with no other players ahead (got YCarded, should have been red for Campagnaro and free kick for us).
I might be bias, but we did have our fair chances
Morata dived twice and could have been red carded.
I dont remember the marchisio one.
Vidal had two long shots. These are not real chances created.
Pirlo's shot was from a set piece

In tuz, half chances = poor finishing from Juve players.
You'd have to think we have a team full of Messi's and Ronaldo's judging by some of the comments.

<Morata was not a dive, Campagnaro even apologised for the tackle and they've shown it a million time on Sky that it was a foul

how did our defense play? i believe bonucci could hve done better on the gol also evra was nowhere to be seen
Evra has a strange positioning pushing Pogba way wide and limiting his danger. But Evra-Pogba positioning is nothing compared to the rest of the team and how it shapes. Pirlo was often seen between Chiellini and Bonucci sending long balls and at the same time the two defenders were making the runs forward.

The "dive" that he got carded, was not a dive, not even close. He got tackled straight to his leg. referees position and his theatrics didn't help him though.

I never trust Evra to be in position anyway, but that was Chiellini's side so I wonder where he was.

Bonucci isn't the sort of player you want the likes of Icardi running at all, defenders don't like being turned, and only natural athletes can really compete.

They play shaky as a elephant in a china shop.Evra is so predictable. Not saying bad but predictable. Not so bad in defense but zero in attack. You always know what he will do.Always.We desperately miss Asa. Probably Bonucci's personal motivator leaves describing him as a hopeless case.

I don't think he was even theatrical, it's just that the contact happened after Campagnaro's initial challenge, which fooled the ref. The Argie is a slow and clumsy player at the best of times, we should have targeted him more throughout the game. Coman?

He pushed the ball so far forward, took two or three steps then jumped to the ground.

The vidal fall against madrid is more defensible as he got clipped right before he crossed and that made him clearly lose his balance and kick the ground instead of the ball but with morata (if he was fouled) he looks like he kept running and then jumped hoping that the ref saw the initial foul. Very few refs would give that foul.

In understand that we play a more offensive formation but can someone explain the huge space that we leave at the back?
A lot of the problems are caused simply by Juve playing in largely the same way as they did when it was 3-5-2.

Now, though, you have just the two centre-backs covering the space.

There needs to be more of an adjustment to the new system from the full-backs (i.e. they need to play as full-backs, not wing-backs) and at least one of the midfielders playing beside Pirlo needs to actually stay there close to him, narrow and deep, and spend a lot of time playing like a defensive midfielders.

Do people remember when Allegri was playing with three defensive midfielders (Gattuso, Van Bommel, Ambrosini) when Milan last won the league? Or when Ancelotti had Gattuso and Ambrosini playing either side of Pirlo when Milan last won the CL?

That, to my mind, is how 4-3-1-2 (or 4-3-2-1) works best. You set up to completely dominate the centre of the pitch and the midfield holds shape and position to allow the full-backs to attack and to allow the team to have three very attacking players up front.

If you want one or both the midfielders on the side of the midfield to be able to attack you are then getting into an area where there needs to be a very good understanding between the midfielders and the full-backs as to who can attack at any given moment without leaving the team completely unbalanced.

I don't like 4-3-1-2 in general and I don't think it is a system that is likely to get the best from Juve's players just now.
