The 4-3-1-2 will cause the same problems like the last time we used it in 2009. We don't have full backs who can give proper width to the side, causing every thing to go centrally and thus being easy to defend against.

Asa and Lict will get the ball and inevitably pass it infield.

How is that any different from what we do now with the 3-5-2

The likes of Grosso, Grygera and Zebina cannot be compared with Licht, Evra and Asamoah, enormous gap in quality in favor of the later. Our midfielders now, Vidal, Pogba, Pirlo and even Marchisio are better as well, than the ones we relied upon back then, the likes of Melo the nutjob, Marchisio (young and inexpirienced), Sissoko lol, Camoranesi old and sluggish.

Our attackers and CBs of that time  Seriously don't wanna waste my time on those.

I don't mind keeping 3-5-2 as long as we have Cuadrado instead of Licht on the right next year.

I think 3-5-2 in theory is a great formation since you can load up either in midfield or defense with the wingbacks. It's just that you can't have guys like Lichtsteiner creating offense.

Honestly, we will never beat the rich CL elite playing their game, we need to do it playing a different way and that is why I actually still think 3-5-2 is the way to go with the proper signings.
