With a lucky draw we might find ourselves against Monaco who should not be difficult and we'd be one match against a top team away from the final.
Yep. I'm hoping for a good draw against Monaco or Porto, and then a semifinal against a top team like Barca, Real, PSG to prove we belong in the final. As long as we offer a good showing in the Semifinals the brand exposure would be immense for us. And by that time we should have our league all wrapped up, whereas Barca and Real will likely still be jockeying for the title in Spain, and PSG with Lyon and Marseille in France. :weee:

Amazing how much more tolerable a 3-5-2 actually is when there's an injection of pace and directness in the team.

Allegri had his hands forced with so many injuries, yet he tactically raped Klopp and put on a masterclass. He showed more versatility in one night than most Italian managers of late have in a long time.

I can say im already satisfied because we got the numbers and we take the money home to buffs us up for next season...but yes..now we are here..we need to at least try more. If by some miracle we advance to semis...and put up a show against a top tier rival...then damn... we cant ask for more...

and if by some miracle we.....

not i dont even wanna go there.

Allegri never got enough respect at Milan. Milan never respect their managers. I have been so impressed by Allegri here even though I was upset when he was first hired he has proven me wrong for sure.

Imo this is our one huge advantage, but only if our bench players recover

Hopefully we get a favourable draw, and come the Semi finals we can have a fully fit and rested XI whereas in the more competitive leagues, our would be opposition will be playing non-stop 2-3 times a week.

Remember when it was the opposite, and our players were coming up against a Bayern team who had the legs to run us off the pitch. With pressing such an important part of the game, having a fresh team can be more beneficial than almost anything else.

It's why 3-5-2 worked for Napoli in Europe even though they didn't have the squad strength we do. They had the pace up front, which we now have too.

Yep. That's why I want someone else to eliminate Bayern. Only team left that don't really have a domestic challenge.

The difference is that before tevez came...we had like zero pace, and our players never wanted to run with the ball, ever, period.

Now, with Tevez, Morata , Pereyra and to some extend Pogba (heck even pepe likes tor un with the ball)....our countering treat is wayy more dangerous
