I dont think he's stupid enough to go back to a 3-5-2, every aspect of our game is better with the new back four system why would he change it when it's working?
I don't know, those words in that interview especially
This was the first match using the new Christmas Tree formation, so has Allegri permanently scrapped Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system now?

“No, I wouldn’t say that. It all depends on the demands of the game, the opponent and the players available. That system won three consecutive Scudetti and we started well this season using it too.
Maybe I'm just overreacting, is maybe saying he might use it sometimes again but.... I just don't want us to go back to being juventus, i like this 'new' JUVENTUS... If you know what I mean

He's not going to come out and say 'we're never using 352 again, then our opponents would know exactly what's going on.

Either way it's good to have options and be able to mix it up. Today and on Tuesday though we've created more and looked better playing 4312/4321

I don't believe he'll go back to obsolete and in Europe utterly ineffective system like 3-5-2. We've seen all its shortcomings in the last few years, between CL and EL. In Serie A we can win no matter the formation, but it's a good training ground for us to adopt new ways. We're in difficult situation in the CL and not winning the remaining two games may very well mean our elimination, therefore going back to something that rarely worked has little sense.

What do you think guys, is 3-5-2 going to be Plan C/B or ... I don't like his words even thou it sounds like he might change during matches. I think it was 3-5-2 when Mattiello entered the field. I hope we don't end up using 3-5-2 when the injured players come back.
I think he will use it sparingly. I dont expect him to ditch it altogether... but i want him to tose our back 4 when it is needed. Use the 352 sparingly and ill be not that mad,.

Which is what i said about Conte. I didnt wanted him to forever scrap it.. but to mix things up according to our needs... He always used 352 no matter what and that nerved me

Lol, if we want to generalize, if there are some fans that don't get "carried away" compared to others are some Juventus fans, that are always super cautious if not pessimistic, most of the times (not my case, but still). Some excitement after 2011-12 season, that is something like an uni$#@! in the history of the sport, is kind of justified, and the Bayern defeat changes nothing to it.

In any case, there are massive differences between us and Roma situations: first of all, we didn't get "trashed". We lost two matches 2-0 and in some parts of them we even gave them competition (and that was Heynckes' Bayern, this Bayern is great but that was something else... Barcelona were far more in difficulty than us, to make an example), and the team responded very well winning the 2013 Scudetto by winning all matches after the elimination. Roma have lost in their home turf conceding 7 goals (I'll throw the stat that in three years we never conceded more than 2 goals in Europe), and aren't fighting back well, they're actually struggling even in the league against small teams. That's also because they won NOTHING before being $#@!d by Bayern, and that doesn't help their confidence.

You say that the Bayern defeat might have affected our spirit in Europe, that's at least very debatable to me. In the unlucky 2013-14 campaign in Champions League, our elimination was due to many factors that are not a lack of spirit, since we dominated most matches and went close even to beating Real Madrid, recording impressive stats. A teams that lacks spirit sits behind and can't create chances (like Roma are doing lately), being outplayed by the opponent. And that would have affected us in the league too, where instead we recorded an historical 102 points. Unfortunately the only important stat that we needed to pass the group, the one of points, was not good enough, but I still believe that without some unfortunate circumstances we'd have got through despite wasting all the chances we've had (refereeing in Madrid, Istanbul snowfest).

For sure, on a gameplay level, our 2013-14 Champions League campaign was better than the 2012-13 one, where except for the Nordsjaelland and Chelsea home games we never shined, but got better results. It happens. Last years' wasted chances and defensive brainfarts are due to bad attitude, not lack of spirit. There's tremendous difference.

If we put it into a bigger perspective, I think that if we advanced from GS in CL we'd have had many difficulties in defending our Scudetto from Roma given their run, and we'd have ended up winning neither (probably the elimination boosted even our will to redeem us and helped us in the second part of the season... Even if EL was not really stimulating for the team, that's what it looked like), but that's personal.

Then lol, how do you say that we haven't played a big team in Europe since then? What would you call Real and Atletico?

Then you said it was our first post-Calciopoli collapse. Ignoring the fact that it wasn't a collapse, I'd take that as a lapsus and intend that like a post-2011 or post-Conte delusion... Then I agree.
Sorry for the long post dude, but to clarify all the points I had to go deep.
The way I see it is that our first CL run was very good. The team was confident and playing good football. Until we played Bayern and realized how far behind we are compared to them. Conte, management and the players admitted it. Since then we lacked confidence in the CL. We would dominate matches sure but throw it all away by means of wastefulness or erratic defending that we never did in Serie A.

This year is a continuation of that. Our Olympiakos games are tales of wastefulness and silly goal giveaways despite dominance. Hopefully the win or the formation change or something breaks this mental block.

Can't believe he changed formation. 3-5-2 won us 3 consecutive scudettos and he changes away from that. Really disappointing.
Our dacdical flow was decimated in that 7-0 game without the 3-5-2.
