Amid an injury crisis, the Coach fielded a skewed 3-5-2 with Andrea Barzagli occasionally turning into a right-back.

“Regardless of systems, it is the willingness of the players to put themselves at the disposal of the team that makes the difference. Growth also comes through bad performances, as it’s how the young players learn.”

I enjoyed the experimentation deployed today but was also confused at the same time.

Particularly once Sandro and then Rugani came on. @swag and I were trying to decipher the formation and roles when we had Barza-Killini-Bonucci-Evra-Rugani-Sandro all on the field at the same time.

It appeared that Sandro played LM but did that mean we had a back 5? It was great to see the versatility of our players and the actual deployment to utilize their versatility.

Just curious if someone could provide some clarity.

Cool

But what about when Rugani came on?

What were we deploying then?
I dont think formation mattered anymore at that time :D But Rugani was right wingback basically, with 3 CBs, and Evra left wb, and Sandro bit of a wide CM. We were just stacking centrally to close off the game.

We didn't play a 352 tonight.
You high off the brief period we played 4-4-2 still? We played 3-5-2 for over 70 mins straight yo. Look at our distribution game, all between the CBs in wide positions, with Evra and Cuadrado high positions. Only difference was when Cuadrado roams Khedira went right to cover etc.

Probably, allegri wanted to avoid sily goal like frosinone did. So he added rugani.

He parked the bus.

Simply explanation. We have been leaking silly goals and he wanted to make sure that didn't happen today in case advancing comes down to goal differential.

I get that he didn't want to concede a goal but what was the formation (if any) was my question
