The last time a team didn't spend their way to a CL title was Porto in 2004, perhaps Liverpool even in 2005. Either way, it's been at least 10 years since a team won without a roster filled with expensive purchases.
It'd be incredible to see EuroMaxx lead us to a CL title without a single transfer of over 20mil in the team... (Buffon doesn't count. He arrived 14 years ago.) Especially in this current insane money league era.
