Its more about players than formations.... Moratta and allegri knew that we will switch to 4-3-1-2 why didn't we get an am?
juventus didnt play anything other than 3-5-2 in pre season and during first 2 months. it took back to back losses in CL and some poor form and injuries in the league before we switched. it wasnt planned. it was made out of desperation

Allegri has to try something different now.

Coman and Morata should be given chances now. if we are going to suck might as well suck and develop the youngsters

It's too simplistic to think Juve are happy to get to the knockout phase of the Champions League. The boys must become aware of their quality."

This is our main problem. We have seen how good almost each and every player we have can be. On paper we have a very powerful squad at its peak. But we still dont play with the arrogance and authority of a big team in Europe. We are more like Arsenal hoping that we have a good night and are never playing like clear favorites. When we are against a big team we play like arsenal praying for a miracle. Even as fans we dont have confidence that the team will win the matches it should win.

Having said that Allegri is not the man for the job of instilling that character into our players. He can keep the ship steady but we dont excel. If anything I see a regress against the big teams in Italy. We played Roma with fear and won thanks to refereeing errors and great fortune while against napoli we showed the same fear and never dominated them. Against Inter we need to obliterate them to restore our arrogance in Italy atleast.
:frown: Terrible match. Inter were laughably bad and we were just as bad. The miss-passing by both teams was Serie C quality. Our whole game was long balls and continental through balls that lead to nothing. Some looked dangerous only because of Inter's clueless defenders. We were playing counter attacking football against Inter despite them not having a single proper midfielder. I'd be seriously worried if the plan was to take possession and build up play because that means that this formation is going to take us down. Inter's incompetence on the other hand kept giving us the ball back so that we try another hapless long ball. Inter's incompetence is expected given their terrible squad but our terrible play cannot be excused. An Inter with this squad playing this bad football should have been hammered.

Inter's chances were all gifts from our defense in a match-fixing like manner. Icardi's selfishness and the weakness of their strikers in general saved us a point today. We, on the other, created nothing apart from the Pogba chance.

Blame the 3-5-2 or the 4-3-1-2 or whatever you want. Our real problem was and is in character and it is getting worse.
