None of this years signings filled those roles, though.
Didn't Pereyra play in the middle as a CM already?

Evra still getting situated, I think he adds more in attacking than Asamoah does, he certainly crosses better.

Ogbonna has been bought as a backup and he is certainly being used. Doesn't matter when they were bought what matters is what position they are required to be on the roster.

He did, but not very often really. It was Marchisio who filled Pirlo's boots. Pereyra was more often given more offensive role.

Evra has been rather disappointing so far, I expected much more of him. I'm glad we signed him though, because we needed one guy there. However it's pretty frustrating to see that Allegri keeps prefering Evra even when he plays badly, same goes for Llorente.

Romulo has played for like 10 minutes while both Morata and Coman didn't get many chances (sadly).

I know I'm gonna see plenty of replies filled with 'it's still early in the season, end of October etc.'.

Good points.

-pereyra filled in for Vidal too I think. He seems to be doing well when attacking and looking troublesome. He is certainly a player that requires the other team to think about more. Certainly more than they nee to think about Padoin that others are suggesting can do the same role as effectively.

-Evra has always been part of a back 4 and in the twilight of his career he will need some adaptation time. People always saying moving to Italy is so challenging because tactics play such a heavy role. He crosses the ball infinitely better than Asamoah so I think he will come good and be a great backup for us.

-Morata should get more time, I think he will. Coman is going to find it quite hard to break in with Tevez having the form he has and the 352 being used all the time.

-Romulo I think when he comes back from injury will be used more. I think he is having fitness issues which is why we used Pereyra outwide. Again, our depth is coming into play IMO.

Nah, i feel you Bro, is worrying because we have already played plenty of games where they could have been used.
Maybe he is waiting for the coppa italia?. Naa, we have been in this situation previously. UNless something earthshaking happens, they will not get continuity

Coman`s case is worrysome because it seems Giovinco is also in good form, and in this 352 system, theres no place for those 2 to warrant enought time for them. Allegri will use giovinco 8 out of 10 chances in an important game. Not that i dont like this, as Giovinco needs more playing time with his current form.... but also sucks for Coman.

A change in formation to a 433 aginst minnows would give those mucch more playing time, and teve the rests he definitely deserves.

Juve played 11 games or 990 minutes so far.

Pereyra got 9 games, 4 times he started the match, overall 442 minutes he spent on the pitch.

Evra 510 minutes, 6 games, 4 starts.

Morata was injured and missed the preseason, therefore is being slowly integrated. Still he participated in 7 games, although very few minutes that he was given, less than 200.

Romulo was struggling with injuries since the season started, but he'll get enough playing time before the season ends.

Basically it is only 18 yo Coman that has been scarcely used so far, considering that he has been fit most of the time.

Pereyra has been the most needed signing simply because we could be without Pirlo for a month and have Marchisio take over that role and not play RCM or LCM because we have Pereyra to fill in. Just like he fills in for Vidals absense or when resting Pogba or Licht (though in last game, right wing back wasnt his forte...). In last season we would have needed to play Padoin in these games, and that was tragicomic...

The most useful signing though is defenitely going to be Morata for us, kid looks up for it.

We are definitely not champion quality.... but gimme a break, we have more than enought to at least past the group stages.
I agree on that. But thats not among the final eight.

We need a "Celtic-Draw" again to get past 1/8 finals, and thats not gonna happen very often. We keep getting deluded by our dominance in Italy, but the thing is we just dont have a very good team in European measure. Tactics and mentality is a small part of it, but the main reason for our European demise is an average team not build for European football.

Coman is young enough to bounce back from gio's sudden form. This is more or less Gio's last chance to impress. Coman is wayyyy too young to worry about his lack of PT.
