But that doesn't change the fact that i was one of his fans from the beginning and I'm so grateful for what this guy has achieved here.
Yeah. I defend Max. But this year was super disappointing, both from a results perspective, and from a on the pitch performance. Regardless of preference for this or that style of football, the team played very poor football and didn't seem able to express whatever tactics Allegri was asking of them, due to a multitude of factors... injuries, fitness, motivation, etc. And that's at least in large part on the coach and his staff.
Yeah past seasons these problems were eventually erased when we reached the March.
But unlike past 4 seasons something was definetly wrong this time. I could feel it from beginning.
But even then this season wasn't a failure.
As i said before even best managers in the history have a cycle. When it ends it's time to move on. Happend to Pep, Lippi, Trap and Allegri and will happen again to future coaches.
No shame about that.

Grazie Max. It has been an amazing five years. Thanks for all the trophies and amazing memories. The only thing that kept us from winning the ultimate trophy was the Spanish giants we faced in the CL finals. For the last few months I have been on the "it's time for a change" bandwagon. But that's nothing personal. Coaches who stick around for more than 4-5 years and stay effective just don't exist anymore. Even the great ones run out of ideas after 3-4 years and it really showed this year. Wish you all the best, except if/when you go up against Juve.
Darn feel emotional after watching his interview. Sad to see how he wanted in and it wasn't as mutual as it seemed. However, love how max has taken it and how much respect he's given by Agnelli, its a beautiful breakup. Like two lovers breaking up because thr distance was too much to bare for one of them. Allegri deserves success abroad and I can only wish him the best.
