You are now liking posts that say: “nobody here likes Juventus except Maxifans.”

Great fans this club has. :baus:

Which is why I believe even those of us who are big fans of Allegri are okay with a change to get some new ideas and fresh motivations in... but with that caveat that we bring in someone good, and not some dumbass like Sarri.
I liked that post for ita point in general, not for that last part.

I don't mind Max nut-huggers. People have their own vision of football.

When two tops teams meet and try to impose their will on each other that's what happens, especially if one of them is trying remontar the result.

No shame in that and it worked for the team that risked more last night.
You have plenty of examples where you can get a result, while keeping control of the game. Or the way a team can defend a lead, not by parking the bus but controlling the game through closing down important areas on the pitch. Look at the brand of football Juventus played in 2015 & 2017. We absolutely crushed opponents up until the final, like Barcelona in QFs at home and never really got troubled. We dominated home game, conceded little and had full control of the game, while creating and using our chances. In away game we were a better side as well, had better opportunities and kept our sheet clean.

Few of you are seeing football in only one way, usually the way last succesful team plays and thats your benchmark. It doesnt need to be hectic and the way we played this season isnt the how Juventus usually plays or that any of us want. But brand of football last night is more about luck than anything else, which you run out after a while.

Too bad Juventus doesn't have any of that lately.

Maybe the way you described yesterdays match is what modern football has become?:boh:
Yes, too bad and Im disappointed as well how this season panned out. Our game against Ajax looked nothing like we all had expected. Because we didnt have control of the game(s) and it looked similar to last night. Hectic.

People cant accept this on here that football has changed and moved on while we are still stuck in this same mindset. Attacking fullbacks is one most important part of football in the modern game something that max will not ever do unless were 3-0 down. This is why he will pick crap like MDS over cancelo, sandro over spinna or like playing a striker like mario who hasnt scored in 5 months because he will make tackles at the back instead of what he actually does going forward.
2 years have passed since our final...

Football has changed dramatically. 2014-15 and 2016-17 style of play by Juventus will obviously never ever be successful again. Not in a million years.

Give me Sarrismo and Gegenpress and tiki-taka or give me death! :angrymob:

Actually since time immemorial if they like the shit, out-of-control play of the last two weeks...

Lippi Juve was dominant by exerting control over the game, playing calm, organized, tactically astute football.

Go further back as well. The type of football that we have played throughout the history got us 9 CL finals. We have been one of the most succesful sides up until reaching the final game. Then we choke :p

Of the 22 teams who have won the trophy, only two have lost more finals than they have won: Juventus two wins (1985, 1996) and seven losses (1973, 1983, 1997, 1998, 2003, 2015, 2017)

I thought in 2017 we could finally catch a break, then half time meltdown happened.

We do need balls. Maxipad supporters don't need to get their knickers in a twist.

We sucked, and we sucked hard. We've been living on borrowed time in the CL since last season. That "almost" epic comeback against Real while laudable should've spurred the management and Max to act in order to address key deficiencies last summer. Buying Ronaldo was great, but football is team game. Those deficiencies were more evident this season because of lack of quality options in both defense and midfield, injuries, and a criminal lack of preparation. Max is also partially responsible for that.

Having said that, if Max gets the players he wants and fires his incompetent physios/fitness staff, then we should definitely give him another season, provided there aren't any better options out here.

Im not the biggest Allegri fan out there, nor do i want him to suffer in Hell for the rest of his life.

But I think we have to be honest and say that he has done very well for us overall , let aside this year, which was quite dissapointing given all the hype that surrounded our team.

The one point from the critics I do understand & agree on though, is the lack of fluidity in the offensive stages in our game. We looked really clueless at times this season, and for extended periods of time. Quite embarassing to watch actually.

This is alarming and we need to act on this.

The big question for me however, is how you do you deal with this?

If it just comes down to investments we should let Allegri stay and give him the resources needed to fix these issues. There is no need to bring in another manager with less experience, less knowledge of the team and think that it will solve this issue. It wont.

If it indeed is down to Allegris limits as a coach, we need to look for a person that actually posesses the qualities he lacks. Not freaking Conte or Deschamps, that both have been massively criticized for cynical and boring football themselves.

I hope we find a good solution and keep our identity strong.

Juve will always be Juve no matter what.
