Idk if you can tie all that to Allegri (...especially not Costa). I give you Ronaldo and Dybala to some extent, but the rest of the players you mentioned? Not so much imo. And Berna has improved his overall game since he came here.
Berna has also been injured a ton here. His per minute production of goals and assists last year was far better than at Fiorentina in his great last season there.

Costa definitely not on Allegri. Dude caused his own downfall by behaving like an imbecile. Add to that he was a half-season wonder at Bayern before choking there too.

Fully agree. One detail I'll add is that this season I see clear attacking intent i.e. trying to play offensive football but as you said failing to string three passes together that arent sideways. In previous seasons we did not have the same attacking mindset and yet we got better results with a much weaker squad against stronger competition.

For me this season speaks to Allegri's limitations at setting up a proper offensive team. He just doesnt know how to do it. It would be like asking Pep to play Catenaccio.
i want to add that it could be because of allergri's rigid system. you can't play attacking football if you are not allowed to break formation and play a little adventurous.
the team could show intent but allegri can keep them in place from the sideline. he always said that the best victory is the 1-0 scoreline.

The thing that kinda fucks me off with Allegri is he'll happily freeze a player like Dybala or Costa out of the team but God forbid a CB, CM or full back is shit for 20 games in a row he'll absolutely ignore it. I don't know why he's so inconsistent with his rotation. Players that need time to hit form like Costa are frozen, younger players get zero minutes but Alex Sandro can look like Marco Motta and get a free pass for 18 months.
Thats quite basic. We have more options/cover in those positions. And good options.

Sandro is competing with Spinnazzola who was injured for months.

Yeah I bet they do. They'd very much rather be remembered as having dominated and outplayed Barca and Bayern (had that happened) than as having lucked out to get that title. Wouldnt you?
Sarcasm? What matters is winning it.

We havent for 2 decades. I couldnt care less how we win it. Could be a De sciglio rebound cross in 89 min which Ramos owngoals in. Heck i would prob take even more satisfaction if it went like that.

Exactly. I mean it's great winning serie a every year and all but bar last season the league is a fucking joke.

The only team remotely close to us can never get past the CL group stage and has a bench that means they're out of all competitions after two injuries because they're a tier 3 starting XI with a tier V bench that looks like it belongs to Southampton or some shit

League is a mandatory requirement because it's so fucking easy. It doesn't make up for the CL in any way, shape or form.

We're Celtic on roids right now and nobody wants to hear fucking Celtic fans talk about being fucking 'invincibles' in between shipping 20 goals in 3 CL group games.

Leaving Cancelo on the bench against Atletico was such a mind-bogglingly poor decision. One of the worst line-up decisions in a big match in the Allegri era. We move the ball forward so much better with him on the pitch.

Hopefully Max doesn’t make the same mistake again.
