Did they go further in the CHL?
Barcelona won again in 2015. with a semiretired Xavi, out of prime Iniesta and Puyol long gone. they had Suarez and Neymar though. those teams had little in common, excpept the name, and a few players remaining from 2011. so saying look how they did after Pep left is as stupid as comparing Allegri this season to Conte in 2014. smae applies to the Bayern situation, who stagnated immensely due to stubbornness of the board. a fair comparision would be season to season, so before/after Pep left to the respective seasons that followed and preceded. so 2012 Barcelona losing the league and going out vs Chelsea on their last legs < winning the league with Peps assistant in charge, and going out embarrassingly vs best team of the decade. winning league and going out vs Atletico < winning league and going out vs eventual champions Real. the seasons before? 3rd place and semifinal in 2008 < 1st place and CL title. league and roflstomping CL > league and being humiliated by Real. not exactly an impressive record

Allegri: Football isn't PlayStation...

Juventus boss Max Allegri has insisted that ‘football isn’t PlayStation’ in response to recent criticism of his team’s performances.
The Bianconeri’s Serie A match against Parma kicks off at 19:30 GMT on Saturday – click here for a preview.
“Mandzukic is back, he’ll play with Ronaldo and one of Dybala, Bernardeschi and Douglas Costa,” Allegri said at a Press conference.
“We won’t dramatise the situation. We’ve lost just one game, where we were beaten heavily. Atalanta and Lazio were two photocopy performances, but in Rome we did well because we didn’t go 2-0 down, while things went wrong in Bergamo.
“There are times in a season when you screw up, and they’re moments to be managed with total serenity.
“There’s been criticism, but the team have picked up a few points since the season started… We apologise for losing in Bergamo, we shouldn’t have but we’ve already won a trophy, the Supercoppa, and we don’t want to let the others escape us.
“Juventus have won seven League titles in the last seven years and reached the Final in two of the last four Champions Leagues.
“When I arrived there was a fear of not being able to beat Malmo, but I thought I could reach the Final and win the Champions League with that team.
“Atletico are on Juventus’ level because they’ve played in Finals too. If we’re knocked out then we’ll accept the criticism.
“In Europe there are 6-8 teams who can reach the semi-finals, so four go out. I hear Juventus are already finalists, so if that’s the case I’ll ask UEFA to send us directly to the Final.
“Football isn’t PlayStation. We must try to win like we did in previous seasons, but to do that you need luck as well as skill,.
“It’s not the case that Ronaldo has come in and we’ll win for sure. It takes respect too. We’re working to win, but then there are the others too.
“That’s why raising trophies is an extraordinary thing and not normal. Playing good football is the easiest thing in the world. The difference is being able to win by playing good football.
“On the left there will be one of Spinazzola and Alex Sandro. Bernardeschi can play left-central midfield and there will be one of Khedira and Bentancur on the right of centre.
“Perin will play in goal. Someone has to take a breather, but we have fresh players to take advantage of.
“Dybala hasn’t gone missing. He’s played a lot of games and without Mandzukic he also has fewer chances to shoot.
Chiellini has nothing serious, he needs two weeks to recover.”
we forgive you

but neither as good as Sarri ofcourse
The overrating of Klopp in the football world.

He’s a good coach, but all of a sudden after last season he’s suddenly the best in football again, when just a year prior people were talking about how he was a flop at Pool. :lol3:

Liverpool has finished 8th, 4th, 4th under Klopp. Lost in the CL final last year which I give him credit for. Lost Europa League final the year before which is a failure. And lost a league cup final which is another failure. They haven’t won a single trophy in his time there, not even a Mickey Mouse domestic cup.

If they win Premier League this year, he deserves to be praised for that, but his first 3 years there haven’t been all that special. He finished 8th in a league won by Leicester City ffs.

Klopp is a nice coach for clubs that don't have to win titles year in year out.
I just looked. He’s lost 6 of 7 proper cup finals he’s played in between domestic and Europe.

He’s the Juventus of coaches.

Match made in heaven? :scared:

Maybe Juve and Klopp would cancel out each other’s bad juju and win CL together?
