Allegri up for FIFA’s best Coach
By Football Italia staff

Juventus boss Max Allegri is the only Serie A candidate for The Best FIFA Men’s Coach award.

Allegri guided Juve to their fourth straight domestic double last season, but Eusebio Di Francesco’s work in masterminding Roma’s run to the Champions League semi-finals has gone unnoticed. Elsewhere, ex-Bianconeri Zinedine Zidane is in with a shout of retaining the accolade, having won another Champions League with Real Madrid, and his former Old Lady teammate Didier Deschamps is among those considered for leading France to the World Cup.

Finally, Inter old boy Diego Simeone is recognised for taking Atletico Madrid to the Europa League.

The Best FIFA Men’s Coach award candidates: Max Allegri (Juventus), Stanislav Cherchesov (Russia), Zlatko Dalic (Croatia), Didier Deschamps (France), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool), Roberto Martinez (Belgium), Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid), Gareth Southgate (England), Ernesto Valverde (Barcelona), Zinedine Zidane

Grande Max!!! :D

the shortlist is probably going to be Deschamps, Zidane and Guardiola with Deschamps winning it
If Allegri won't be on the shortlist(which is very likely), then i definitely woudn't mind it going that way, especially if Deschamps eventually wins the award.

To be fair he did get England to a semifinal. Not sure how many people could do that.
Any top side would have face rolled their way to the final if they took england's route

Still out of 7 matches played they lost 3 and they were against the better teams. This was probably no more than a sympathy nomination having had the other 3 managers who reached the semi's nominated too

Di Francesco deserves to be there ahead of southgate. Roma's CL run was nothing short of amazing.

the first liverpool game indicated that he either 1) doesnt believe on research or 2) Roma didnt have money to supply him with a laptop and wifi

I think you'd find that 2) was provided with the exception that their social account ended up using their daily bandwidth limit.

'CR7 will score as always’
By Football Italia staff

Juventus Coach Max Allegri confirms Cristiano Ronaldo will play 'where he has always played.’

The Portuguese forward joined the Old Lady from Real Madrid in the most high-profile transfer of the summer window and will report for pre-season training in 30 July.

And when questioned on where the €100m signing will play, the Bianconeri Coach was in no doubt as to where Ronaldo will fit in.

“Ronaldo will play where he has always played, in the offensive third,” Allegri commented after seeing his side beat Bayern Munich 2-0 in last night’s International Champions Cup.

“And he will score goals as he always has.”

The shining star of last night’s match was young forward Andrea Favilli, who scored twice.

However, Allegri expects the 21-year-old to go on loan this season.

“Favilli is a young player who has great potential. But I think he is heading for another Serie A team, which is Genoa.”

The Juve boss does not know if his club will be making any further summer signings, despite links to the likes of Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

“I don’t know. Here there is a six-hour time difference so when we are asleep in Italy they are awake, and visa versa.

“The club is having a great window. The arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo, Cancelo and Emre Can have improved the team.

“Let’s see what happens.”

Allegri: 'Juve at high level’
By Football Italia staff

Juventus boss Max Allegri praised his players after they won their first pre-season match 2-0 against Bayern Munich.

Two goals by 21-year-old forward Andrea Favilli gave the Old Lady victory over the German champions in the International Champions Cup match played in Philadelphia.

And speaking post-match, the Bianconeri Coach declared himself satisfied with how his side had performed.

“The boys did well. It was our first match and we did well considering the shape we were in,” Allegri told reporters.

“Quite a lot of young boys played and they showed they are at a high level.

“We are working a lot on the defensive side of things because, out of the attackers available, I only have a few young boys.

“Favilli did well, scoring two goals.”

Juve continue their preparations for the new campaign with a match against Portuguese side Benfica on Saturday evening
