He's a fantastic manager. Higuaín aside, Juventus are footnote on the transfer market compared to the spending of Man United, Man City, PSG, Real etc.

The fact that this side is so competitive and one could actually feel confident of this side beating the likes of PSG and Man City despite their heavy spending is a testament the manager.

I would love to see Juventus just go all out one year and finally drop a bomb.

I mean surely our finances are in damn good health with our runs in the CL and scudettos?

Thankfully you are not controlling the finances of the club.

I have no problem with him but he has to implement a counter attack or else we are going no where and will never win a CL with him in my opinion

His current system is not sustainable and eventually the luck will run out with our super good efficiency in front of goal and the opposition failing to capitalise

Juventus' 2018 defensive record better than Man City and Barcelona's

Serie A giants Juventus currently boast of the best defensive record in Europe since 2018 started, say Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Old Lady are currently second in the Serie A table, but have a game in hand on table-topping Napoli, who are just a single point clear at the top of the league charts. They recently ousted Tottenham Hotspur from the UEFA Champions League, having picked up a compact 2-1 comeback win at Wembley against the English giants.

Gazzetta dello Sport say that in the calendar year 2018, Juventus have the best defensive record.

Massimiliano Allegri's men haven't let in a single goal in the Serie A in 2018 and have found the back of the net 15 times themselves. The last time they conceded a goal was in late 2017 and it was Martin Caceres who had found a way past them for Hellas Verona.

Barcelona haven't won three La Liga games since 2018 began, conceding six times. Premier League table-toppers Manchester City have let in eight goals and have sustained a loss to Liverpool and were held by Burnley. Bayern Munich have let in seven goals, drawing one game. Paris Saint-Germain have conceded four times and lost against Lyon.

Allegri: 'Juve keep foot on gas'
Football Italia

Max Allegri gave an update on the Juventus line-up against Udinese and warned against “taking our foot off the gas” after Champions League success.

It kicks off on Sunday at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

The Bianconeri are fresh from a 2-1 Champions League victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Wednesday evening, which put them in the quarter-finals.

“Stephan Lichtsteiner and Alex Sandro are suspended, but apart from Juan Cuadrado and Federico Bernardeschi, everyone else is fine,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Cuadrado is going for a specialist visit in Germany. Bernardeschi will have more tests in 20 days, at which point they’ll tell us if he needs surgery or not.

“I can confirm Wojciech Szczesny will start in goal. Mattia De Sciglio and Kwadwo Asamoah are the full-backs. Mario Mandzukic has recovered, but I still need to decide who to play upfront.

“We must focus on getting the three points in a difficult game against a very physical side, as Udinese commit the third most fouls in the league this season. That shows how aggressive they are and we are coming off some tough games.

“Wednesday was an extraordinary result, earned in an historic stadium like Wembley, but so far we’ve achieved nothing yet, so we have to keep our heads down and our feet on the ground. What we cannot afford is to take our foot off the gas mentally.”

There is also the risk that the Bianconeri can feel they are Scudetto favourites after Napoli lost 4-2 to Roma.

The gap at the top is now just one point and Juventus have a game in hand to be played against Udinese.

“Napoli are at the moment still one point ahead, so we must focus on beating Udinese and not what the other results are. We need help from the entire stadium and all our fans.

“Regardless of who steps on to the field, what counts is that tomorrow we have the focus, spirit and responsibility to understand the importance of this game.”

It was announced that next season the transfer windows will be shortened so that there will be no moves when games are scheduled.

“I absolutely agree and in fact hoped that the window would be closed at the end of July rather than mid-August.”

"an historic stadium"

I always thought it's villagemen who write the articles for FI.

Incredible season if you look at the stats. That’s historic numbers by Allegri. If he wins CL, he’s hands down the best Juve coach of all time.

That’s fair, and yeah. Winning CL with a Juventus in a weak Serie A says a lot.
And with the financial disadvantage compared to the superteams at the top, and while dealing with the cutting and chopping of his team every summer. Insane accomplishment if he wins a CL while literally having his entire starting XI replaced over a 3-4 year period.

I find it very funny that people say Max isnt a great coach while simultaneously saying we dont have good players to compete with top dogs. Something has to give. You cant have shit players and a shit coach and continually dominate the league and europe
