yes, and to be fair, quite rightly. by that time they fired him, the squad was out of his hands for a while, and probably he was also the one who let pirlo leave. every cycle has an end, and that sassuolo match with penaldi scoring 4 goals was the end for allegri and milan.
it's pretty ironic that the one and only club benefiting from both pirlo's and allegri's milan exit was juve.
...
But you look at a player like Pjanic. His positioning is perfect every time. I don't understand it. How do you receive a pass in between our two lines anymore? Somehow he and Khedira are always covering it like they've played in this system for 10 years.
tyeh and id made sense since he has never been a holding mid and he has great dribbles and thru passes. In fact in some way im kinda sad he never got this role, because in his current position he has to play ti safe and not be goofing around so we are not able to see his offensive prowess. But all for the team and its working so no joohns
At Roma he mostly played on the right side of a 3 man midfield under Garcia, Spalletti was more flexible in trying out new formation so he used Pjanic in the 3421 as a CM and AM when they played 4231
Gets the praise when we do well, but he got it badly wrong today.
Now we need to get something from our final two games (including 1 win), instead of resting ahead of the CL final. That should have been the priority not the Coppa.
