Don`t be so pessimistic guys . What if he turns out to be one of the best defenders in the world ?For 12 m that`s going to be a steal.

Barca are going to scratch there eyes out if they loose him like milan lost Gourcuff .

"What if" you said it youreself, And what if he doesn't turn out to be great ?!

Every now and then clubs should gamble on certain players its not wrong at all. But we should not risk paying alot for a risky investment thats the whole point.

Canavarro was a gamble when we got him from Inter but it was a smart move from our side. We paid almost nothing and we've got a WC defender. Pirlo was a risky investment for milan when they've brought him from Inter but they paid a reasonable price for him back then and he turned out to be a great buy.

Andrade was a gamble from our side and we've paid 10 mil euros on an injury prone defender who turned out to be one of the worst investment this club made recently. Imagine if we just paid 3-4 mil for andrade this deal wouldn't look as bad as it is right now.

Price is key in these risky deals.

Yeah, for that amount he would have to have an outstanding season before we would even consider signing him permanently.

Great move IMO.

We have already spent most of our budget money and a loan deal with an option to buy is just awsome. We'll see if he's really worth of buying of course at the end of the season but this way we're much stronger in defense without spending some money (even if we're probably playing some :money: for that loan but it's still good). If he fails to deliver we can always turn our back and sign someone else. Don't know why but I think he's going to be pretty good.

Well done, Secco.

if you consider the price of the best defenders or Canna even after we bought him from Inter then 14m is nothing if this guy lives up to expectations. Lets say, for arguments sake, that he turns out to be great...enough to take Canna from the starting XI and give us consistent performances at the back, then at the end of the season I think 14, let alone 10m will be a great deal. Look at what we got Diego for considering the inflated market, this will be a great deal. And if he doesn't live up to expectations then we don't buy him, its that simple.

He cant be as bad as poulsen or tiago imo so why not give him a shot. From what im hearing its only a loan and if he turns out to be worth it, we buy him. We could use a versatile defender for extra rotation.

Where did you hear he was undergoing a medical?

By the most recent reports, we're looking to buy Caceres outright for 12m rather than getting him on loan with the option to buy.

I really wonder if our management has the confidence to go through with this move if we don't offload Poulsen et al during the transfer window.

It remains to see of FUCKO SUCKO can convince Barcelona in signing Poulsen and make Zlatan look like a fool after saying that everyone wants to go to Barca but not everyone achieves that.

I like this idea. We should give Molinaro to Barca just to make that point.
