Barca to offer Juve Marquez swap?

Mexican defender Rafael Marquez may be on his way to Juventus as part of Barcelona’s offer for Tiago Mendes.

Tiago’s time in Turin could be up as he has admitted that he would welcome a switch to the Nou Camp.

The Portuguese midfielder hasn’t managed to play his way into Coach Claudio Ranieri’s plans and has been frustrated at his lack of playing time.

Rather than match the fee of around £9m that Juve paid Lyon for Tiago in the summer, Barca are believed to be keen to unload Marquez.

The 28-year-old hasn’t been at his best in La Liga this year and there have been whispers that he is looking for a fresh challenge.

Sources suggest that both players have agreed the exchange in principal, but the major problem may lie in Marquez’s wage demands.

Still not enough to call him a world class defender. If he`s a wc defender why would Barca sell him for Tiago anyway?Or even better, why would his price be around 8 milion euros?I didn`t said he`s bad defender...he has expirience after playing 119 games with Barca and 79 for his NT.One of wc defenders is Terry and Marquez isn`t even close to that level.Ranieri is jerk if he sells Tiago becuase he wanted him here and he should deserve chance to play because he`s good.i wouldn`t mind to see Marquez here but for Tiago? No thanks.

andrade and chiellini, if legro keeps his form up, count him too. plus, we already have a super-aggressive guy who ia always a risk for yellow and red cards, we don't need another, especially with our relationship with the referees.
