Juventus are moving for Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez.
Tuttosport says the Mexico international has been informed by Barca that he will be sold this summer should the right offer arrive.

"After the experiences of France and Spain, the Italian Serie A would be very interesting for me," said Marquez yesterday.

Juventus are focusing their attentions on Manchester United's Gabriel Heinze and Barcelona's Rafael Marquez as they look to rebuild for next season.

Juventus have put together a list of centre-halves they can realistically net as they prepare for their return to the top flight of Italian tootball, and the duo seem to be at the top.

There seems to be good reason behind it, too, with Barcelona not very much against letting Marquez go should they be able to net Jorge Andrade or Gabriel Milito.

The Mexican skipper has been nothing like his self this season, dogged by injuries and poor form, and a reasonable offer in the region of 10 million euros could be accepted.

Marquez himself has been positive about a move to Italy, saying: "After experiences in France and Spain, a new adventure in Series A would be stimulating."

As for Gabriel Heinze, he is a player who Sir Alex Ferguson counts on, but has failed to win a first team spot. With Ferdinand and Vidic the first choice centre-halves, and Evra the starting left-back, his appearances have been limited.

Once again, the Red Devils could be open to a reasonable offer (around 10 million euros), and instead get themselves another promising player.

Juventus firmly believe that both deals could go through, helping them rebuild a solid defence, one that disintegrated with the departures of the likes of Thuram, Cannavaro and Zambrotta.
