Juve keen on Chamakh and Zuniga

Juventus have singled out striker Marouane Chamakh and Siena defender Juan Zuniga as their top targets this offseason.

Chamakh has starred with Bordeaux this season, scoring 13 goals to help them win the French league.

However, the Moroccan striker has stressed that he would like a move to England and the Bianconeri will have to persuade the hitman to turn down the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham, according to Tuttosport.

Juventus have already signed Diego and Fabio Cannavaro, but want to strengthen their squad further to overtake Inter next season.

What do you think guys? I personally love Chamakh, but I am not sure if he can succeed Trezeguet..

He isn't great. He's rather overrated actually, mainly because Blanc rates him so highly. Cavenaghi isn't even getting a sniff with Chamakh these days. But no, he's Tottenham, Genoa material at most. Decent player, with good aerial ability and can hold up the ball real well, but i don't think much of him in terms of finishing.

the trez replacement will not be a starter for the club, but rather a squad player. we need a player like zalayeta was..someone who accepts the bench and comes on and scores important goals.

Amauri and Iaquinta will share the main striker position.

Juventus linked with Chamakh

Reports coming out of France suggest Juventus are preparing a bid for Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh.

The 25-year-old played a crucial role in Bordeaux's title winning campaign last season, scoring 13 goals in Ligue 1.

Chamakh is out of contract next summer and talks with the Girondins have not gone well, alerting Juventus.

The Morocco international is valued at £7m, but would come a bit cheaper considering his contract situation.

Juventus are bearing him in mind should David Trezeguet leave the club this year or at a later date.

Chamakh is renowned for his pace and would add some much needed zip to the Juventus attack.

I'm actually sick of Fred and me discussing Chamakh by now. But anyways, two seasons ago Cavenaghi, and even Bellion over took Chamakh but he's got his place back and has done better with Blanc. I'll say it again, I'd take Bafétimbi Gomis, André-Pierre Gignac, Guillaume Hoarau, or Henri Saivet over Chamakh.

True man :D

I still rate Cavenaghi higher than him. Actually whenever Cavenaghi gets his chance he does better than Chamakh. But for some reason, Blanc rates Chamakh very highly.

Yes. Their key player of course is Gourcuff, I can't highlight how important it is that they signed him permanently, he makes them tick. And, if it was upto me I would sign Peter Odemwingie, always loved him. (No homo)

Odemwinge is a nice player. He would fit Bordeaux too, but they already have Goufran there.

Of course Gourcuff is their most important player, he was an absolute beast last season, head and shoulders above everybody else in the Ligue. The entertainment he provided last season was out of this world. His goal against PSG in particular was too sick

Yessir, Odemwingie is the shiyat. :D As for Gourcuff, I just hope after Bordeaux do decide to cash in on him in a year or to that it'll be to Juve.

Gourcuff>Cavenaghi>Chamakh
Gourcuff isn't a forward, mate.
