Markus Merk to referee the EURO2004 final? (1 Viewer)

I heard on TV that Markus Merk has been selected to referee the EURO2004 final.

Anders Frisk has been selected to referee the match between Holland and Portugal, and Pierlugi Collina has been selected to referee the match between Czech Republic and Greece.

(i'm not sure if anders frisk has been selected to referee the match between holland and portugal, and pierlugi collina has been selected to referee the match between czech republic and greece, or its other way round.)

what do you think? i personally think that Collina should have refereed the EURO2004 final.

IMO Merk is ok. He will assure that Germany also play the final. Maybe togehter with Otto Rehagel..

I guess having Collina referee both finals of the last two major football competitions would be too much. Probably UEFA is trying to break a stereotype that Collina is the only great referee out there.
