    Moggi: "Stavo per prendere Eto'o""
    24 11 2005

Moggi said he was about to buy Eto'o when he was at Mallorca but Real refused to sell him. Good, we never would of got Zlatan but Eto'o is a great player.

    Moggi has Ronaldinho doubts
    Thursday 24 November, 2005
Juventus transfer chief Luciano Moggi believes Ronaldinho would struggle in Italy, as well as admitting he was keen on signing Samuel Eto'o in the past.

Brazilian sensation Ronaldinho has been associated with a switch to the peninsula, but Moggi believes his Barca teammate would be a better acquisition.

"I think that the Brazilian would find it tough over here," the Bianconeri general director stated.

"I prefer Eto’o, a player who I wanted to buy while he was at Mallorca. The problem was that he was owned by Real Madrid and they didn’t want to sell him."

Both men are key figures at the Nou Camp, a fact underlined by their win at Real Madrid last weekend when the pair netted in the Spanish capital.

Ronaldinho, associated with Milan and Juventus recently, is expected to be named as the European Footballer of the Year later this month.

    Sagnol close to decision
    Thursday 24 November, 2005
Bayern Munich right-back Willy Sagnol, linked with a move to Juventus, says he will make an announcement on his future within the next two weeks.

The France international's current contract with the Bundesliga giants expires in June 2006 and Juve appear to be first in the queue to secure his services, with Manchester United and Valencia also interested.

"I will announce my decision in a week or two. There is obviously a strong link with one club," he declared, although he did not specify which team he meant.

The Italian champions seem to be hot favourites to sign the 28-year-old, though, after Bayern general director Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently expressed his fear that the Serie A leaders could lure him away.

And, at the start of this week, Juve director general Luciano Moggi made it clear his club hope to snare the former Monaco defender.

"Sagnol is an excellent defender, one who interests us. However, we still haven’t signed him yet," he said.

Chivu: "I'd love to play for Capello one day."

I think they paid 12m € for him. I think his value is still the same, maybe a bit more.
