It is subjective, for sure. Like everything else fandom related.

But the general consensus on Tuz (60-70% for Mandzukic, probably higher for Pirlo), seems to place these guys as legends of a lower tier than DP, Buffon, Chiellini, etc. But legends nonetheless.

It’s the middle ground where someone isn’t a rookie but isn’t a ‘legend’

A legend is when a player, or his stint, will be remembered decades from now. As much as I like Mandzukic I don't think either he or his stint will be remembered say in 2035.
Pirlo and Vidal will imo, because they made the backbone for our miraculous comeback and our title win in 2012.
