Just for the record, I am not calling him lazy or a bad player. He is a very good player with important qualities. He works hard, is a role model and leader in the team, offers aerial threat, decent link up play for a player his size and he seems to have found his scoring touch again.
My issue is that we look much more balanced with a three man mid. That means there are three spots up for grap in attack. Ronaldo has one, Dybala should get one and the last one should go to Costa, who despite Mandzu qualities is a far superior attacking player. When Costa is not playing we are lacking somebody to connect the midfield with attack, and somebody to be the creative force. Mandzu would be fine as a rotation option to either Dybala or Ronaldo.

I know you aren't. I'm just teasing you, for the pre-match banter about Mario. :p

I agree with you in a sense. We don't have the athletic, all-around CMs to have a strong midfield in a 2 man mid (Matuidi has the athleticism but not the technical ability, Pjanic has the technical ability but not the athleticism, Bentancur is still pretty raw).

I'm not so sure about Dybala. When we signed Ronaldo, I thought it would be perfect to get Dybala expanding his passing game, final ball, linking up with Ronaldo and starting to assist goals at a more prolific rate. But he hasn't shown any sort of understanding with Ronaldo, and doesn't seem to be a player who creates many chances for his teammates. I think he suits a front 2 best, where he plays off a more traditional 9, like Mandzu or Dzeko for example, and exploits the space left free around, using his trickery, quick acceleration, and fantastic finishing to bury chances.

I'd be interested in seeing how a Ronaldo-Mandzu-Costa front 3 performs. I don't want Dybala benched, as aside from Ronaldo he's our most exciting player, and also the highest potential player in the side right now, his upside is truly world class... I just want to see him be more adaptable, and to get more in tune with his teammates.

Zlatko Dalic , yesterday about Mandzu: ''Mario is specific striker and we need him, but we need to respect his decision. I'm the first one who would like Mario to play again.''

Mandzukic did have bad period at the start of the season where he looked lazy and didn't run as much as he used to. He was probably tired after WC but he's been back to his best lately and I think he has good chemistry with CR7
Totally agree that he and CR7 is forming a really great relationship. It’s like good cop bad cop partnership. One handsome as hell doing all the flicks, and one ugly mofo forcing the ball into the net. both fit as f.

There is no gain in selling at this point. He will be a decent backup and rotational player at the end of the season, for 1 or 2 more years. Similar to Khedira. They are too old, and there is more use in their experience and seniority for the squad. Can is a good option for making a few $$, same for Pjanic. It's unpopular to say, but VERY likely to happen, if we get some decent offers.

How was the game from up there?
amazing :tuttosport:
We were seated close to the pitch and view was great

First half I had Giorgio in my face all the time and second half Cuads  And goal was scored to the goal in my proximity.
The match from pure football angle was rather mediocre but the stadium experience makes up for it, as always. Our Ultras were lame as fuck but the average fan was fantastic, I'd definitely say the Eintracht Ultras are leagues above Juve ones but average Juve fan is louder and more active than avg Eintracht fan. Also Valencia fans are better than most Serie A fans from live perspective. Needs saying that I always order tickets in Laterale next to guest block because the banter is more than entertaining. This time around at some point they started shouting 'juve juve vaffanculo', received shit in return and at 85min somebody from our block apparently had googled the equivalent phrase in Spanish, then animated everybody to shout 'valencia valencia hijo de puta', Valencia fans gave applause as in 'wow guys only took an hour to google how to say sons of bitches' Weather was godlike for the two days as well, 15°C sunny, we did lots of stuff I think my fitness tracker recorded 30k steps each day, went also for some indoor stuff like the cinema museum and the van dyck exhibition. Walked through the city center, along the river Po, attended Xmas market, bought ugly Xmas sweater at the Via Garibaldi juve store, got my mom chocolate at Bicerin cafe and went up the Mole for city view. Used Flixbus between Bergamo and Turin and both times we had a furious Napoli fan subhuman for a driver who couldn't shut up about Juve for 3 hours. Drives like shit, then gets dabbed on in Torino traffic, cries 'La civil Torino eh Io sono Napoletano, non sono Italiano'

What really makes me sad is also what I noticed on other occassions outside of football events is how people can't consciously live through and enjoy a moment anymore, they have to record videos and take pics. Ruining it for themselves, I mean CL anthem is so epic and you have to waste the moment taking pics to whore likes on social media. CHAMMPIOONNSSE :tuttosport:
