It is clear as day that Mario should play LW and that he should not play striker unless both Higuain and (imo Dybala) are not fit to start. Like I said Mario was immense yesterday in all aspects EXCEPT finishing which he was awful and lost us the chance to win he should be winger. And did you not notice that Cuads WAS passing to the backpost to him all night long, it was our gameplan.

No Cuadrado was the threat in attack lol Mario battled and pressed hard as usual but finishing was TERRIBLE. Especially his first chance of the game he was open, had time, space a favorable angle and stilll shot straight at the GK instead of the far corner. Gonzalo never gets that kind of time and space in the box but if he did he would've buried that chance with ease.

There is absolutely nothing that Mario offered yesteday that our other wingers couldn’t. His days at winger are limited and that is pretty clear for everyone to see.

Higuain is always isolated that’s why he is never alone except for 2-3 defenders around him. Our formation changes seems to suggest we are trying to play more thru the middle to his benefit.
