Some people will defend anything the management does, regardless of how retarded it may be.

We definitely should have tried to keep Vidal; I get the feeling we are just happy to let him go and collect. This is most definitely not the attitude of a big and ambitious club. Retaining your best players (especially when they are at the peak of their powers; Vidal is only 28 ffs!) encourages other "champions" to come over as well.

Vidal was already unstable last summer and he had his worst season in 5 years between then and now. If the player wants to go then we should let them go especially that it was no surprise that they wanted a change.

Give them the benefit of the doubt after last season. They deserve it.

Many teams admire us and equally envious of how well we are run.

I would've actually criticized the management more if they had sold Pogba because that screams lack of long term vision.

It would be wonderful if we somehow kept him for a few more yrs but I wouldn't count on it.

Not to berate Vidal or his contributions but a player like him is not exactly that hard to replace.

I wouldn't say the same for Pogba because he can dominate and is of a very high technical quality so he'll be harder to replace in the future.

if our management is lack of long term vision, our management would never pay dybala for 40 million euro.

And did I suggest otherwise that we don't have long term vision ?
Selling Pogba over Vidal this year would've been stupid.I want to see us make a genuine effort in keeping him atleast for the next two seasons.
Way more upside and marketing potential than Vidal will ever have.
