I think there is an agreement to swap Vidal to Goetze. Now the are negotiating about details.
Put yourself in Marotta place - your coach want Goetze, other side want Vidal, so there is no need to just sell Vidal and start new negotiations about Goetze, which can collapse if anything happens. So, to save the whole operation, they will discuss both transfers in parallel. I think there will be no Vidal sell, if they do not agreed about Goetze deal.

Guys how do you know if we're selling Vidal without any assurances about Gotze? If it was just about the sale Marotta wouldn't go to Munich, Bayern's men could come to Turin.
My point is Marotta didn't fly there just to sell Vidal, that's not how it's done. IMO we're in negotiations for Gotze that's why Vidal isn't Bayern's player yet.
Offloading Gotze for them isn't that far fetched as some might see it. They're interested in KDB and Felipe Anderson who play the same position as Gotze. We have too many CMs and they AMs so we're making a deal

The difference between us being a high profile selling club, and a truly top team is moments like these.
Do we sell Vidal and accept rejection when we go after the buying clubs players? Or do we tell them, if you want our best players. You better be prepared to trade with yours in return.
