I think i have gotten over the buyback thingy too.

If he guarantees us to make latter round of CL for the next two years,i say bring him in.

We need CL performances to improve our brand. No other way.
same but, if we do insert it, make it be double the fee we pay, and make it after 2 years like the morata deal, so atleast we can go and find someone else or hopefully one of our youth players makes the leap in quality by then

There is too much going supporting these rumours for me to doubt them, unlike some of those bunk EPL rumours. If this doesn't pan out, the disappointment will be massive. This move is also huge because it gives us a player who could potentially be world class, which is what we've missed for a while. The most disappointing aspect, is that if it doesn't pan out, there was something that went wrong, rather than the rumour being false.

If we can hold onto Pogba (which I think we could if the team continues to grow and improve), the team in 2-3 years could be incredible, provided players reach their potential.

-------Morata------Dybala-------
---------------Gotze--------------
Pogba-----Marchisio-----Khedira
Sandro--Chiellini---Bonucci--Lichtsteiner
-----------------Neto-----------------------

The only player in Italy I really want to see us buy is Romagnoli though...Romagnoli-Rugani could be so good. Roma is asking for 30 million, which is so steep.

We won't be able to outbid English clubs right now, but that being said, even the likes of Bayern won't have a good taste in their mouths after a bidding war with English teams. The EURGBP is so unfavourable for continental teams right now.

A Note on Currencies/ Economies (Do not read if you do not like economics)

For Germany in particular, the Euro is great because it is makes its currency permanently cheap, allowing the country to boost its exports (for a company that runs annual current account surpluses this is great). For weaker economies or economies that enter recession, it makes it very hard to bounce back. For Germany, a cheap exchange rate (driven by an economy too strong for its currency) boosts exports, which boosts the an export-driven economy, which makes the currency cheaper, which further boosts an export driven economy....and on and on. For a country like Italy, it is the opposite. An expensive currency makes your exports less attractive, which hurts an export-driven economy, which further makes your exports internationally uncompetitive, which further hurts your export driven economy. It is like a black hole that cannot be escaped.

Unfortunately, one draw back, is that Bayern earns its revenues in a cheap currency, which is uncompetitive in football with England. Without the Euro, Bayern would be a wealthier club, and Serie A's prices would be more affordable domestically, which would increase turnover, allow teams to invest locally, and Italy would have less bankrupt teams. I think it would allow Serie A/ Italy's economy to improve, however, it could hurt our turnover initially. So in summary, dissolve euro please. With Italy's ageing population, the euro as a common currency for the country could be disastrous, as GDP could start a secular decline (rather than cyclical) in a few years.

Bambi Wilma has defenitely gone full on all in crazed transfer frenzy guru Nicko style on this forum past days.
:agree:

maybe it would be a good idea to ban him now until this saga is over and then unban him or keep him banned forever depending on if we get Gotze or not

thats why we will sign De Sciglio next summer for free

Now would be a cool time to swoop in on Reus :)
i dont think it would be cool to get rejected by both the player and the club within few minutes
