I clearly said I dont think you did in my first two sentences man :D (not you, a general use of you), used your post as an example of understandable reaction, unlike the rest of above petty and illogical reactions I mainly addressed it to.

Btw, we didnt bid 5m for his half, we would gotten him if we did. We bid 1.5m plus Troisi and Bouy (players with extremely low value), the latter couldnt happen in the deal, so most of the talk was Pescara wanted increased bid with just Troisi that would be valued around 5m, we didnt want that either, hence why talk about him have been dead for most of of last month. PSG didnt "then came with their offer", they just did apparently, quite a while after Pescara took him off the market after we couldnt agree with them. Or didnt just want him enough. Then to read most of these arrogant comments of blaming him like he simply should just tear up his contract and run to Juve is rather ridicolous. Simple, we couldnt buy him from Pescara, so Pescara found a buyer they like, and him going there is as much being blinded by the money as it would be if came to us, because its essentially a step up in his career. Even if Juve is his favourite club. Just find it funny to read he is a mercenary if he goes to PSG, but ofcourse never when he wants us.
It seems that you only referred to that for the first part of your post only. Never mind it then.

Maybe that don't add up to €5M, but with another good season with them in Serie A, they would've gotten more than that for his other half. He wanted to stay there for another season though. Even Pescara said so. Then somehow, all that was gone when PSG came with their offer. It's just another example how money can get you stuff. No reason to blame anybody here, and surely not Juventus.

But thats the unfortunate thing, PSG angle IS a recent one, we have been interested/negotiating for him since like May/late april, defenitely should have made a deal happen when the difference between us and them werent that much, like a 1-2m at most it seemed. In overall unfortunate because this kid is a really rare talent IMO. You can ask me of us bidding for Destro, Gabbiadini and others, but I wouldnt be fussed, even if good/decent talents, but IMO Verratti is really someone worth getting done while we can.

^^ I doubt this is true.

Pescaras president said it, so who knows? maby he talk shit :D

He said that Bouy diden't want to come, and they don't wont to loan players anymore, because they learned a lesson from Insigne and Immobile, and that when Bouy said no to 50%. He raised the money to 3 million euros + 50% of Troisi, but Juve said no to that.

Exactly lol, Pescara only marginally raised the asking price for him (1.5m-2m to 3m+ a nobody in Troisi, woopty doo) with the co-own, but we decided to squeze everything we can from them because we figured we can haggle it down til whatever we feel like, to the point they said $#@! it.
Yeah IMO we should have accepted that, in worst case we could easily sell his half for atleast 2 million euros, and get back almost all of it, if he woulden't succed and become the player we thought. As pescara said, after a season in A his price could become alot more. We should have closed it fast, I really can't understand how we can pay 36 million euros for Asamoah and Isla, I really rate them both, but IMO a little to much. If we thought so much of money we should have offer max 30 million euros. But with Verratti Marotta failed to get him, why? a difference of maby 1 million euro lol.

It all depends on what Juventus saw in the kid. It could be that they thought he wasn't as good as us fans are making him up to be. It could also be that we do believe he could have been the vice-Pirlo for us with his talents, but can't go any higher with our bid, for the simple reason that our midfield is already packed as it is and we still need to cover for that much more important position upfront. It's not the end of the world here, Os. He's not the first kid we missed out on, and surely won't be the last. Sometimes we'll realize we made a mistake in hindsight, sometimes we won't.

I was about to say the same, he was probably talking with his chequebook open. I doubt their plans are more ambitious than ours really... Win the league and the CHL, what other goals can you have? Plus I doubt he told Verratti he'd be playing a lot. ( Though I have little knowledge of PSG's team nowadays, meh. )

I've seen little of him, but I was never overwhelmed.
