That above is worth 5m, and it was what Pescara DS said they want for his half, remember some here complaining he isnt worth 10m fully etc.
I think the deal was very closed to be done, till Raiola decided to pull Bouy out of the co-ownership.

But yeah, I agree with your other post. If we really wanted him, we would have signed him. Can't blame him he goes to PSG, does people expect him to turn them down? lolz

Yeah, we should have made a higher bid than €12M to get this guy, even though we already do have one of the best midfields in Europe and are apparently penny pinching for our defense with Lucio.

If the guy wants money, then so be it. I'm glad we're not doing a mistake by over paying for a one season (in Serie B) wonder.
Its one or the other though, you (and I mean a general you, not you since your post is clear cut) either think like the above as you do, that is too much money and pass (wasnt 12m when we were involved) and leave it at that, or want want him to be signed and hope we bid enough. It doesnt make sense to read mostly the same posters who previously said pass due to co-own demands of Pescara being too much, now conveniently calling him a mercenary who was BSing about wanting Juve (when he clearly did, we simply stopped our interest in him clearly), or making up bs about ditching Pescara and such when they are clearly cashing in on him. Doesnt make sense to have those two stances when it comes to him, for sure, and just comes of petty.

I know its some lame natural instinctive to illogically turn on a player just because he is not signing for us with some, but its beyond retarded to read (especially how quick that change happens).

Seems like Juve have dragged this deal out over months, before Pescara got promoted and before he was called up to the national team. Probably got themselves to blame here if they didn't anticipate a rise in price, Pescara were looking likely for promotion for a long period.

I hope Marotta/Conte still wants him, I do like Verratti.

a bit too full of yourselves there, don't you think? :p

told you more than a month ago it was never as close as most of you guys thought - bickering over what his number should be and all :D - and Juve was little more than one of several clubs interested in him and some media fluffing on his part never changed that.
In the end of the day you guys did want him but weren't ready to pay the goods or simply got your calculations wrong in an attempt to take advantage of his alleged favouring of Juve (you did intervene when he was close to signing for Inter, after all).

If you think I'm illogically turning on him because he chose PSG, then that's your problem. We offered around €5M for his half, which as far as I'm concerned is much more than enough. He wanted us. We weren't ready to up our bid, irrelevant if Pescara wanted us to do so. We were even willing to let him stay with them for another season in Serie A, exactly as they wished. We stood by our offer. Then came PSG with their lucrative offer. Apparently both Pescara and him were amazed with the offer. Is it our fault that we didn't bid higher? I surely won't blame Juventus. Our offer was already risky as it was. Then do I blame him? I don't neither, even if technically the player could've still rejected them. So yes, I don't think people are entirely wrong when they claim that money blinded him, as would've done to most other kids.

I clearly said I dont think you did in my first two sentences man :D (not you, a general use of you), used your post as an example of understandable reaction, unlike the rest of above petty and illogical reactions I mainly addressed it to.

Btw, we didnt bid 5m for his half, we would gotten him if we did. We bid 1.5m plus Troisi and Bouy (players with extremely low value), the latter couldnt happen in the deal, so most of the talk was Pescara wanted increased bid with just Troisi that would be valued around 5m, we didnt want that either, hence why talk about him have been dead for most of of last month. PSG didnt "then came with their offer", they just did apparently, quite a while after Pescara took him off the market after we couldnt agree with them. Or didnt just want him enough. Then to read most of these arrogant comments of blaming him like he simply should just tear up his contract and run to Juve is rather ridicolous. Simple, we couldnt buy him from Pescara, so Pescara found a buyer they like, and him going there is as much being blinded by the money as it would be if came to us, because its essentially a step up in his career. Even if Juve is his favourite club. Just find it funny to read he is a mercenary if he goes to PSG, but ofcourse never when he wants us.
