He's what 20/21 years old, still playing in Serie B, he made a name for himself just this year, How many of those we've seen through the years, Yet some people label him as the next coming of Pirlo and want to trust him to be his backup next year in the most crucial role in our formation without anty top flight experience.
He is 19, and he made his debut a few years ago when he was like 16/17. This season has been particularly special for Pescara because Zeman has introduced his attacking style to the team, and they have a few promising players. Insigne and Immobile are also sharing the spotlight with him. It's like El Shaarawy, there's a reason he's getting a chance at a very young age.
As for the player, someone posted on the last page that he is too aggressive in his challenges even when he has already been booked, and it looks like that is pretty valid. Inexperience. For a 19 year old, he still needs to have consistent game time, which is why I'm cautious of him being a bench player. If I'm being optimistic I don't necessarily see him starting more than 10 games here in the Pirlo role, which I don't think is healthy for a player of his talent at that age. I think it might be worth letting Pescara keep him for another season, should they win promotion to Serie A (it's still very tight). Would be ideal if they kept Zeman as well. The reason he's making a name for himself is, in my opinion, because he's actually showing some good ability with a football. He can obviously pick out a pass to a fairly high standard + quite smart.
I'd rather see Marrone in the rotation, we've seen what he can do and how he hold his own whenever called upon.
I'm not making a final judgement on this kid unitl i see him play reguraly but i remain skeptical and i think he's been way overrated; regarded much more than say Paul Pogba who's a Man Utd player and still 19.
I think the reason why he's regarded higher than Pogba is because he's actually had consistent first team games at some level, while Paul has had very few (which is apparently part of the reason why he's growing impatient in Manchester).
